| ExpendableHero (24), Florida | | January 23, 2012 A neat little bar. The ambiance and decor are standard pub fare with a bit of flair. Lots of wine for those of you who like that sort of thing. A decent beer tap selection with fantastic prices makes this place worth a visit. Nice outdoor seating area as well, cool place. | StrangeBruise (2), Coconut Creek, Florida does not count - explanation | | January 1, 2012 It was a major commitment to beer that took my friends and I on our pilgrimage to St. Lucie for The Vine & Barley. I have heard good things about this place and always wanted to check it out. They get brews on tap that you just don’t get down south here. I was initially surprised about the small size of the place but found it to be a good thing. I had a great experience and a major part of that is due to the friendly knowledgeable barkeep. Huge selection of wine available as well. I would call and ask about the rare stuff on tap before driving all the way up there again. Over all it was worth the visit for sure. I would return for the hard to find drafts. | | biggsbowler (11), Port St. Lucie, Florida | | June 21, 2011 24 beers on tap, another 50 in bottles, also have about 100 bottles of wine. Meat and cheese platters for food. The selection over beer is solid and he has enough of a variety for everyone. Growlers are available for most beers. The prices of both beer and wine are close to retail and sometimes less. | | Slimbrundage (10), | | October 6, 2010 Very nice atmosphere in a small strip mall. The bar is in the back, past their wine system which looks pretty cool (wine isn’t my thing). I’ve never had a problem getting a seat at the bar, I’ve only been there on slower nights but I’ve been told it gets very busy on weekends. The selection is worth the drive (I live 90 minuets away) if only because they get things that we never get a chance at in South Florida. Brewdog, Brooklyn, Bells and Sierra’s specialty stuff as well beers we get in bottles but not in kegs. The beers are always rotating (check their website) and the prices are the best I’ve seen. Service is excellent and one of the owners is often behind the bar. If this place was closer I’d live there | | 50belair (41), Florida | | August 17, 2010 Great bar with a unique way to drink wine. Good selection on tap, growlers, and bottles. | | ck1 (19), Illinois | | May 10, 2010 Finally a good beer bar on the east coast. Very nice rotating selection, including stuff you wouldn’t expect to see there. Marc the owner was attentive and happy to let you sample. TVs for the sports enthusiasts, and lots of wine for the wine enthusiasts. | | AWISLguy (35), Wisconsin | | May 2, 2010 Fine bar - 75% wine and 25% beer, however the beer part is superb. Twenty-some micros on tap of a range of styles and a good choice of bottles, all seeming to be on a rotation. Nice comfortable bar area. Staff was helpful and willing to discuss & share. | | MikeMoriendi (50), Boynton Beach, | | April 8, 2010 [ Updated June 21, 2010 ] I had heard of the place for quite awhile and many friend told me about them so I had to take the trip. I love the feel of the place. It’s like a laid back coffee shop that has a bar. Great selection on tap and bottle and at very competitive prices. You can get growler fills as well. The growler itself is $6 and the owner told me that is at cost. Then you pay for 3 pints of the beer of choice with the 4th free. I’m going back this weekend with some friends and we look forward to it. | | hankchinaski (12), Florida | | February 17, 2010 [ Updated March 1, 2010 ] Drove up from Lake Worth the other day and was very impressed with the place. Marc, the owner, was behind the bar and couldn’t have been more acomidating and courtious. Lot of good drafts that are not available farther south, I got a growler of the Brooklyn Cookie Jar Porter. It was well worth the drive and I look forward to making it up as often as I can. | thedogs (5), Florida does not count - explanation | | December 28, 2009 This bar presents itself as a very upscale place. A nice selection of beer, about 20+ taps, and wine if that’s your thing as well. I’d been after a very busy weekend and unfortunately some of their taps had been killed the nights before.
You can purchase beer to go in growlers, as i did. I took home some Chimay Triple! WiFi is available in the place, proper glassware is used.
Kevin was our bartender, he had a good knowledge of the beers on tap and provided excellent, friendly service. Other patrons at the bar were also quite knowledgeable. All in all, i really enjoyed the place. A little more upscale than my usual haunt underground bluz in Orlando, I’ll definitely be returning. |
