| Dixonian (79), Dallas, Texas | | May 2, 2012 Visited twice during my week in Portland - the first time I waiting for someone to aknowledge me for the better part of half and hour, finally left and walked across the street to Cascade. The 2nd time was totally different - the bartender was friendly and helpful. Two sets of taps with a variety of brews. Didn’t eat anything but the food smelled great. Must of been an off day the first visit. | | mcberko (59), Vancouver, British Columbia | | April 10, 2012 Decent selection of taps, right across from Cascade. Nothing really stands out as memorable about this place - just another quality pub to stop in for some quality craft beer. Worth a trip if you’re going to Cascade. | | notalush (256), Denver, Colorado | | December 17, 2011 Large pub that has recently started brewing it’s own beer - packed when I was in, but I managed to squeeze in at the bar - about five of their own brews, plus a fairly huge selection of other regional beers, mostly from breweries I had never heard of before, which made ordering difficult - medium-sized menu of standard pub fare (sliders and the like) - friendly servers - the food was decent, but nothing stand-out - interesting mix of patrons of all ages and demographics - right across the street from the Cascade Barrel House - a decent spot. | | maxim2112 (10), Milwaukee, | | December 11, 2011 Mostly regional selections on tap which is fun if you are visiting but at the same time can be daunting. I spent a lot of time looking up stuff that I’d never heard of before. Staff is knowledgable.
| | mabel (211), Toronto, Ontario | | July 13, 2011 2010-06. Visited on a hot Sunday afternoon last June, we melted through the door and sat down to enjoy a sampler of their amazing brews on tap. Just looking at the board of things to come was exhilerating, not to mention all that were present on tap. Spacious hangar-like pub is airy and clean with friendly service. Would love to return one day and spend longer there. | | Travlr (637), Washington, Washington DC | | June 19, 2011 Small place attached to a quanset hut, great atmosphere. Large selection. Helpful staff. Worth a stop. | | slowrunner77 (11), reno, Alabama | | September 3, 2010 main building next to a green silho. nice.
pretty basic innards. the reason to go here is the great tap selection and knowlegable and friendly staff. food is good. prices average or better. | | jerc (211), Toronto, Ontario | | July 9, 2010 2008-06-27. Walk in, eyes pop out and I run up to the bar to order some pints. "We don’t have that on." Bartender sees me look over at the chalkboard with a "You just killed my puppy" look on my face and says "Thats the *coming soon* list." Well, the imaginary chalkboard bar has a pretty kickass tap list. The Green Dragon, less awesome. It has a nice tap list but only a few gems, whereas there was at least five really good beers I wanted to try on the coming soon list. The warehouse/garage descriptions are apt. Its a big open space with a bar and picnic tables plunked into it. Despite some really nice art touches I kind of felt like we were at a boardwalk snack stand. It was pretty hot inside when we were there as well, which I was not a fan of. If you want to do a sampler like we were I’d recommend it. If you are looking for pints and a place to spend some time, I might go elsewhere. | | lushawn (164), Boston, Massachusetts | | May 15, 2010 big open garage door wide open leads to the bar. big outdoor patio seating bar. feel like you are outside wherever 49 beers on tap. props for turning what could have been an abandoned building into something special. cool place. no green dragon beers available when i visited. |
