I wouldn’t go here seeking out beer, but the food was excellent, and if you need a beer while you are there, there are a decent number to be had. Our service was fine, but kind of slow, with long breaks between courses and lots of apologies from the waiter. The reason to go here though, is clearly the food, which again, was excellent. I’d return, but honestly, the beer would be an after thought in my reasoning.

This is a restaurant that happens to have fairly decent beer. Nothing mind blowing in the beer department, but the food is solid, fresh, and seasonal. On tap tonight were Stella Artois, Dundee Festive, Goose Island Honkers, Ommegang Abbey, Leffe Brune, and a Saranac fruit beer. Bottles have a nice Belgian tint with Chimay, and Rochefort 6, with some of the more well known micros from the US as well. I’d recommend going for the food. Husband and wife owners in the kitchen, both CIA grads. They just added a fixed price menu for $30 with an appetizer, salad, entree, and dessert. Everything on the menu is fair game, with maybe 5 items requiring a small supplement.
