Visited July/11. Was there early in the day so the place was empty. Very Good selection of taps, looks OK. Reading previous ratings here, I was doubtful if the beer is fresh and didn’t spend too much time here.

Visited in May 2011. The multitap itself should be recommendation enough, in addition they served an IPA especially brewed for them, that was fantastic. The decor is not too shabby yet not really pleasant. Maybe this place really doesn’t have the vibe one is looking for in a pub in Prague but if you focus on the beer, then this is the right place.

nice place not far from Prague’s touristy heart, just a short walk from Obecní dum. Incredible selection of Czech micros that can also be tasted in 0.15l samples. Very friendly staff to have a chat with, also quite knowledgable. There seems to be an English-.speaking clientele there, didn’t hear anyone speaking Czech. Good selection, friendly staff, nice place - don’t miss it. If you’re there don’t forget also to go to Hastalsky Dedek (2 min walk) where you can try unfiltered Krusovice.

Central location for tourists, wide selection and they serve beer in 15 cl, 30 cl and 50 cl glass. So far so good. But, where are the locals? Hardly any ambience for this pub! I also felt that some of the beers were not served in a very good condition. In beer quality, Beer Museum is not on a level with Zly Casy, Zubaty Pes, Pivovarsky Klub and others with a rotating tap model. (Visited 22. and 26th February 2012)

Ok place if you cant be bothered to travel a bit further to Zly Casy, Pivovarsky Klub or such places. The selection of beers is very good. Our waitress didnt have a clue so it seems you better know what you´re ordering yourselves (maybe we were just unlucky). Dindnt try the food. Overall ambience of the place is ok I guess, nothing special. Best thing about this pub is its location and the wide variety of beers. And a mentioned by others, very smokey.

There is something missing in this place, something I don´t like but I cannot really say what. I often give it a go and stop over for a beer or so, but every time fails to impress me. Maybe it is because it is more smokey than the already very smokey average hospoda, maybe is because of the touristic, loud English-speaking kind of crowd and service (a few waiters speak no czech at all, that says everything), maybe because of the high prices or the food being delivered from a nearby take-away shop, but all this makes it looking rather like a pricey beer supermarket than a nice pub.

Overall a quite pleasant beer bar. Selection is not as niche as Zly Casy’s, but you can find some decent brews here as well. I appreciate the effort to maintain the beers in good shape, at least it was the case for the 6 i’ve tasted. Prices are high for Prague, location might be responsible for that, but still it remains cheap for north american standards. Music is good ol’ american rock classics. According to the waitress, visitors’ ratio is about 50/50 czechs/foreigners.

So I had a rather good experience at the Prague Beer Museum, a place I’ve heard some pretty poor opinons of, from bad lines to taps being out to server issues. They had 30 taps on my visit (November 2011) and all were pouring, and while some were simply bad beers (maybe can criticize them for selecting bad beers), none seemed to be off due to handling by the bar. Add in the availability of flights, with about 4oz pours, and you can try quite a few Czech lagers side by side. I’d say that’s something pretty desirable in a city and country where they best you can hope for is 0.3L mugs. Late at night, of course, it’s busy, which means you’ll be drinking in a thick fog of cigarette smoke, so come early in the day if you can.
