Huge Brewpub in the old town of Prague. Go to the 2nd floor where the brewery is. 3 beers on tap, nice and fresh. Service was abit slow at times, but on the other hand they where busy becourse there was a huge party having lunch next to us. Didnt eat. And sadly no X33 at our visit

Visited the second floor (the actual brewpub section, don’t stay on the ground floor). 2 Classic Czech beers on tap. Service was a bit timid but efficient enough. Didn’t try any food. The beers were good quality and the prices were fair. Really awesome to see the open krausening vats of beer as you drink. As with any place in Prague, watch out for loud drunk Russians.

Das Budweiser aus dem Tank ist ein Gedicht! Das Original Böhmische, deftige Essen passt wie die berühmte Faust dazu. Preis-Leistung sehr gut. Ein Juwel der Prager Gastronomie!

In the centre of Prague 1. I was in the bar part but I’m aware there’s a next door where things probably are completely different. I went for the x33. The pub was small and made of wood. They were pumping hits of the 90’s on VH1. I got my beer. It was alright. I don’t really have any urge to go back though.

Very nicely arranged place in strict center of the city. Trip to the Habsburg times to enjoy good beer in, say, 17th ct. ambiance. A must to feel the spirit of Prague. Beers are good, BUT evening was not the happiest time selection. Pre-paid supper came with some macro beer and waiter wasn’t too eager to let me order their own beer. So after two tries I didn’t. Live music is awful, some brass band between the tables, over our heads, that irritating that brain hurts, oh so popular in some restaurants in this city. Our table had to pay them to go away. Dishes were good but small and expensive, kinda expectable for location, where you can get easily ripped off in restaurants. So, to summarize, go there at the afternoons, have their beers, don’t eat, enjoy the atmosphere, walk around the place to see tons of breweriana. I’ll do that properly next time.

This place is pretty cool. it is a shame we only stayed for 1 beer. We went all the way to the back in the tiny single hall where they serve X33. Food looked good and our waiter was a lot of fun. Could have stayed here for hours.

Love this place; especially the small brewery onsite upstairs in the back (also a hotel?) Visited in 2009 and 2012. Huge beerhall with solid czech food standards and a small beer bar with more variety and quest beers (all of the Budvar styles including their yeast beer). A classic must visit in Prague.

Interesting. I love the cellar feel. For beer we went upstairs where special beer were served. Our serving girl did not speak any English. She was polite but it looked like she did not want to be there. Beer price was on high end for Prague but its worth it.

Visited July/11. Have fresh and non pasteurized (Tankovna) Budvar. The place is huge with also a brewpub in the other end. Overall a nice place, fun to visit.
