| JulienHuxley (64), Trois-Rivieres, Quebec | | August 8, 2011 Beer store in downtown Quebec City with a decent selection of Quebec micros. The prices are quite reasonable. The Duchesse d’Aiguillon nearby is much better though - they have a better selection and dedicated staff. | | bp (56), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania | | November 27, 2010 Cool old grocery just outside the old city walls. Pretty nice selection of Canadian micros though if you have a chance to buy your stuff in Montreal you’ll probably find a few more rare treats there. That being said, this is the place to stop in QC. You can also get a sandwich or some coffee from the deli area and you can pick up some cheese or other local foods from the rest of the store. | | frankyjus5000 (10), Quebec | | November 19, 2010 bon épicerie pour le thé mais la biere faible sélection et prix bien ordinaire | | DuffMan (185), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta | | June 29, 2010 Beautiful shop! To echo others here, it really is like stepping into a time capsule. The layout of the store itself offers surprising delights, as you are lead through one room after another to experience a wonderful selection of fine foods, both fresh and in cans, as well as a selection of wines and, of course, BEER! I found the selection to be fantastic with respect to Quebecois craft beers and a smattering of quality French and Belgian imports. Prices on some items were really great: $1.29 - $2.29 for some craft beer single bottles, or build-your-own 6-packs for $9.99, or 3 x 500ml bottles for $10.99. Even had some growlers in the cooler! I had a hard time limiting myself to what I could carry! A real gem of a place in a beautiful city. | | Gethinbeer (94), Musky, Nova Scotia | | March 19, 2010 Very nice shop in Quebec city. Full of character. It felt like going back in time, character like this seems to be lost in Anglo parts. Great selection of local beers. Offers on many. Tidy find. | | Quevillon (169), Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec | | September 27, 2009 Visited for the first time September 24, 2009. The selection is good, most of the Quebec micros are there, but a little expensive, as with most products sold in the store. The real attraction of the place is the store it self, Mr. Jean-Alfred Moisan founded in 1871, making it the oldest grocery store in North America. | | robinvboyer (54), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario | | September 8, 2009 I stumbled upon this place while waondering around beautiful Quebec City. I was floored with the selection! They have been from pretty much any brewery in Quebec that bottles their beer. They even had some growlers from smaller breweries! They still have the basic macro selection you would expect, but the selection of micros is really impressive for a little shop in the heart of upper old quebec |
