| KPD (64), Michigan | | May 22, 2012 Great location inside the old city walls, minutes from hotel Frontenac, we stayed a block away, very nice after a nice dinner and beers. Food was very good. The draft list was unimpressive. The bottle list was quite interesting, we had a draft unibroue, a couple of DDC beers, and a large bottle of kasteel donker. Ratebeer helped me navigate the bottle list which had a fair number of Belgians I hadn’t seen before. The Quebec brewers certainly know how to make good Belgian wheats. Must stop for beer drinkers, particularly if you like Belgians. | | simontheeditor (11), Richmond, England | | April 5, 2012 Pub and restaurant in Quebec’s Upper Town. Good selection of European (especially Belgian) but rather uninteresting QC beers. Very busy. Reasonable pub food. Great atmosphere. | | VT (16), Quebec City, Quebec | | November 8, 2011 Nice place, almost smack dab in the middle of the city. Very nice looking inside, although it is a bit small, so it easily gets crowded.
Great selection of international beers, unfortunately not enough local craft beers for my liking. Never tried any food there, although it looks quite good. The beer is a bit pricey.
I still stop by whenever I get the chance, so... | | Mostoboy (17), , Spain | | April 30, 2011 Placed in the most touristc street of the city, it’s a good choice to drink a pint. Take your time to chose yours! | | frankyjus5000 (10), Quebec | | December 11, 2010 vraiment bonne petite place pour faire une petite dégustation de biere en fut | | adnielsen (277), Fort Collins, Colorado | | October 22, 2010 My personal favorite place to taste beers in Quebec City. There’s a great selection of beers on tap and in the bottle. Very cool atmosphere. | Tap57 (8), Quebec does not count - explanation | | October 11, 2010 Great selection of imports especially Belgians. Menu was also great. They weren’t carrying many local micro brews nor seasonal stuf however, which is what I was looking for in the first place. Settled for Rochefort 10 and La Trappe Triple, so I can’t complain!! Prices were high, but you have to pay for the location. Truly is a great place, I strongly recommend it.
| | DuffMan (185), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta | | June 29, 2010 Wicked little pub! We watched World Cup Brazil vs Spain here over a bunch of great brews. Our waitress was awesome-- she really knew her beer and steered me in the right direction with my choices. She even tracked down an aged bottle of St. Ambroise Scotch Ale from 2007 in their back room! Enormous selection of belgian imports, although not all bottles are still in stock. Managed to finally tick my last needed style (lambic faro). Excellent food for a pub as well (we shared deep fried Camembert, french onion soup, and smoked salmon pizza). | | Gethinbeer (94), Musky, Nova Scotia | | March 19, 2010 Nice pub. I was impressed with the beer menu. The appropriate glassware was used. The service was a little off. I was brought the wrong beer and the waitress seemed to open the bottle and run off before I could mention it. Oh well my French is poor and I wasn’t going to argue. She brought over a very nice Rochefort 10 so was all good. Would have liked to stay here all afternoon, looking onto the street. | | JulienHuxley (64), Trois-Rivieres, Quebec | | February 7, 2010 I had a great time at a couple of occasions at this very touristy pub. It’s down in the center of Quebec city and almost always full of people. It’s a good place to enjoy good belgian beers but they are a bit expensive (about 10$ a bottle). You can have a real meal there, no need to gobble chicken wings if you don’t want to. The table service was so-so but sitting at the bar was good; proper glassware and very professional service. |
