My favorite neighborhood pub. It has the best selection of beer in the area after Sunswick, but has much better food, decor, and service. I’m there at least once a week. The fries and mac n’ cheese are addictive.

Astoria is generally lacking in the beer department, so this bar is a welcome addition. First off, the food is excellent (best burger I’ve had in Astoria, and the fried pickles are supposedly outstanding). All their produce is local, and they’ve tried to keep that theme with the beer. 10 taps, 2 casks, and a few bottles. Most of their tap selections come from NY breweries (Capt. Lawrence, Fire Island, Kelso, Southampton, etc.) . I actually don’t recall seeing a single macro bottle or tap. Don’t expect any rare finds here. It’s ridiculously crowded on weekends, but we had no problem getting a seat at the bar on a Wednesday evening. The bartender (Stuart) was outstanding; he’s just getting into craft beer, loves to talk about it, and offers tastes or half pours. Can’t wait for another burger and local craft brew.
