| Travlr (637), Washington, Washington DC | | November 11, 2011 Large choice of European and American beers, but only a couple of local choices when I visited. Good prices. Worth a stop. | | jake65 (84), Williston, North Dakota | | January 30, 2011 Nice store, good beer selection for it’s size. Gentle cedar aroma from the humidor was awesome while looking around. I’d have to say that I was impressed with the selection given not much gets to the western part of North Dakota; South Dakota seems to be much better served. Import selection was solid. Not being able to mix-n-match sixers is a bummer, but not a deal breaker by any means. Staff was friendly and helpful. Certainly a worth while stop in Rapid City. | | notalush (256), Denver, Colorado | | July 14, 2010 [ Updated July 16, 2010 ] In a strip mall on the west side of Rapid City, about a 5 minute drive from downtown - quite a quaint, well-stocked liquor store, with a little fridge of cheeses and meats to sweeten the deal - helpful staff that is willing to help, but is not pushy about it (hard to find in a lot of beer stores) - they also seem to know their stuff - nice selection both in the walk-in, and on the shelves - decent selection of midwestern and western brews, such as Boulevard, Odell, New Belgium - not comprehensive, but it looks like they get whatever is distributed in the state, including a couple of Utah and Minnesota brews I can’t get in CO - respectable import list, including Mikkeller and one or two Cantillons (a lot of British and Belgian ales seem a little lacking, though) - again, nothing you’re going to dance around the room about if you’re from a more beer-rich part of the country, but as far as I can tell, this is probably THE place to buy beer on this side of South Dakota - a very nice little store - the only thing it is missing is a mix-a-six section, but maybe I am just spoiled living in CO, where every store has one. | | OD40oz (11), Box Elder, South Dakota | | January 6, 2009 [ Updated January 25, 2009 ] This place is top shelf. Great selection of beers from around the world, boatloads of wine, liquor, cheeses and cigars. The people who work there are great and really know their stuff. They always seem to remember you and what you bought last time you were in. They also have a pretty cool little bulldog who greets everyone as they come in. |
