googoomas (1), Redlands/Santa Barbara CA, does not count - explanation | | May 24, 2012 The best place if you like beer between LA and San Diego. 40 drafts that they change regularly and no crap on tap (aka BMC). The staff is always helpful and knowledgable about the beer too. Good food is also a plus! | | Hophead22 (60), Redlands, by way of Wisconsin,, California | | February 15, 2012 Nice tap house in town here. Great tap list, 40 different at any given time, no BMC on tap either (although they do have bottles). Service is good, they are very attentive, although not everyone is all that knowledgable about what is on tap and what the beers are about (the bartender never heard of Anderson Valley) which would be a big plus. Decent food the last time I had it. The atmosphere could use a major upgrade, it’s way too dark and it’s more suited for a club, which it usually turns into on a Friday and Saturday night. | | badlizard (109), San Diego, California | | December 16, 2011 Not a bad place. The ambiance leaves a bit to be desired - just a big, open, dark space with flat screen tvs on sports stations. Selection was decent - they are clearly trying to get a variety of good stuff. They had FSW Parabola and FD Gonzo on nitro, for example. The beer menus need to be updated more often. They were out of the first 6 beers I ordered, and I still have no idea what replaced those taps. The food was mediocre, but to be fair, I did only try the cheese and bacon fries, and the burger descriptions did sound good. The bar tender was a smart, cute beer nerd, and I enjoyed talking with her. Overall, it was a decent place to drink. | | BeerLimey (113), California | | July 8, 2011 [ Updated August 10, 2011 ] I was here a few years ago when it had a new wine bar look to it and this was first time back. It’s a little more weathered now but still serves up some good brews. There were about 5 New Belgium Lips of Faith beers on tap as well as some other original selections from Black Market and Iron Fist. Some pretty impressive Bruery and Lost Abbey bottles too. Food is limited to sandwiches, pizzas, salads and appetizers but the spicy spring rolls we tried were good.Good specials too: Sam Adams Saison and Iron Fist Hired Hand were both featured at $4. A four set sampler at $6 was also a nice touch. | jjuf1853 (3), Land O Lakes, Florida does not count - explanation | | October 7, 2008 Very cool place due to the number of taps alone. Overall a very nice selection of draft beers with a definite nod to the West coast. Food was alright, but not spectacular. The bartender was knowledgeable and offered some samples of comparable beers to the ones I selected. Flat screen TVs line the bar so it’s a good place to watch sports and grab a pint. | | Dunk (17), SoCal, | | January 11, 2008 40 Taps with no BMC on tap (available in bottles though) Taps are a nice selection but typically nothing real unusual. That said they had Stone 10th anniversary on tap last time I was in and I know the bar manager is pushing to bring in more interesting beers. Taps are a mix of regular and seasonal west coast ales along with a few euro beers, belgians, a cider or two, etc. Limited bottle selection but usually some good big beers available. Full bar with decent selection of spirits as well.
Food menu is simple but very good especially by bar standards! The gorgonzola burger is absolutely the best burger around! Casual, comfortable atmosphere (maybe a bit sterile) with several flat screen TVs playing sports.
Friday/ Saturday nights get crowded and very noisy - younger crowd than the rest of the time. |
