ASXL41 (1), Virginia does not count - explanation | | April 16, 2012 A definite stop for any hop head in Delaware. If only to try some of the brewpub exclusives, it’s worth it. But the food there is amazing and the servers are happy to offer suggestions on beer styles. Somewhere I would like to visit again whenever I’m in the area. | | rhartogs (11), Arlington, Virginia | | March 8, 2012 For a dogfish head fan, this is Mecca. Secret stash of aged beers. Brew pub exclusives.. Good food too. | Gmoney (3), Manchester, New Hampshire does not count - explanation | | February 12, 2012 Nice little place to have a beer . We go off season to avoid the crowds . Still warm in Oct , better than NH anyway . Selection was good , 120 , Olde School etc ... they had a keg of Death Metal that was about to kick but didnt tell me about it until I asked if there was anything new or different lately . The service , even though it was off season is hit and miss . We went two nights in a row and had two totally different experiences . The food is standard pub food . Pricey overall but you expect that . Go if you are close . | | steverackers (10), BARRINGTON, New Jersey | | January 20, 2012 AWESOME PLACE! LOVE THE BEER GREAT SNACKS | | rocbyter (43), Waterbury, Connecticut | | January 19, 2012 Big open bar with lots of room for tables. Lots of beers that I haven’t seen any where else. I’ll have to come back again to try more of them. The food was good and has a great price. Staff was friendly. | | badlizard (109), San Diego, California | | December 28, 2011 A cool little brewpub. Typical pub fair, the pizza was decent but nothing special. The service was fine. Great beer, and don’t forget to ask what they have in the secret stash. | | Marheb (23), Montréal, Quebec | | December 15, 2011 L’ambiance est un peu trop familiale à mon goût et la nourriture est parfois douteuse. Le reste est solide. | maltiness (7), Harrisburg, Pennsylvania does not count - explanation | | December 8, 2011 liked visiting the restaurant food was great and the beers were, as usual, fantaastic | | DiarmaidBHK (307), Pennsylvania | | November 24, 2011 The green and white colored scheme continues inside the brew pub. It’s a bigger room then I was expecting with a large upstairs area for their on-site distillery. They had 15 different beers on cask including a couple, like the Johnny Cask, that were unique to the brewpub. In addition to their normal pints they also do growler fills as well as flights and half pints. The beer tasted incredibly fresh to me and complemented by fish and chips brilliantly. The fish was substantial and hearty and the corn and crab chowder was fresh as well. They also have a kiosk outside the entrance where they sell merchandise and to go beer. Once again if it’s Dogfish Head you know it’s going to be done right. | | rickhall28 (12), denville, New Jersey | | November 13, 2011 One of the best non-Belgium craftbrewers in the northeast in my opinion (along with Victory & Smuttynose). This is the restaurant not the main brewery although they can and do make small batches here. I am a big fan of Sam C’s work (catch the Discovery Channel’s Brewmaster series). Dogfish is well known for taking chances ("off-centered beers"). I am still a big fan of their IPA’s...60 & 90 and the unique to this location’s Thur night special called "75 Minute". The place itself is fun and worth a visit for the pubgrub and fun atmosphere. We recently biked over from Cape May (via the ferry and state park bike trail) and were handsomely rewarded for our efforts by this destination. This is a frequent stop on my north-south journeys. |
