| Feinschmecker (52), Seattle, Washington | | October 24, 2009 Strange mix of beer geeks and regulars. The food is ok. The beer is often outstanding considering this is Renton, no offense Renton. They even have some hard to find seasonal on draft. The decor could be better, but that is because it is about the beer, I guess | hebron (2), does not count - explanation | | February 21, 2009 Nice little pub with a great selection on tap. Parking can be a bit tough. Staff is friendly and the service is fast. | | CapFlu (179), Victoria, British Columbia | | November 10, 2007 A great little pub. We hit it upon returning from Jimi Hendrix’s grave. Tiny little parking lot, enough for 8 or so cars with not much room to pass. The interior is typical English-style local pub - with a couple exceptions: the tap line-up is phenomenal and the George Bush countdown clock is a priceless addition. Many smaller Washington micros on tap. The food was pretty good and very comparable to Canadian prices. A great introduction. | | BrewDad (239), Olympia, Washington | | September 24, 2007 [ Updated September 10, 2008 ] This was an awesome little haunt that a friend took me to. Games, beers and great football on the TV the wife even loved the place. They have some great beers on tap with both local flavor and some off the wall from far of lands. The food was good and very pub faire. I had a great time here this is one of the best beer bars I have ever found. They had a feeling of being at a local club house. The seating in regular couches and chairs and the football going this was just perfect. This is not a pop in a run out type place this is a sit and have a great time place. | | Bradrcr (16), Renton, Washington | | July 29, 2007 Thanks to Jeannie from NWBN for telling me about this one. Nothing like getting drunk on the couch playing Jenga with your wife with 30 brews on tap nearby. I enjoyed meeting the staff as well; they even helped make fun of the old dude that blew ass behind me and thought we wouldn’t notice. Outdoor seating, couches inside and board games give this a great atmosphere. Need to try the food next time. | | mreeves (34), Sammamish, Washington | | January 4, 2007 Nice little bar with a very nice selection of taps and bottles. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Lots of regulars here, a very neighborhood and low key feel. I didn’t have any food, so can’t rate there. Excellent selection of great beers and worth going to if in the Renton area. | | after4ever (126), Brier, Washington | | November 12, 2006 Great little beer-lover’s bar in a relative wasteland (Renton, WA). Pretty much situated in an industrial park, but it’s near main roads so it’s not at all hard to get to. Clean, well-lighted, welcoming, friendly. Neighborhood place first and foremost. Tidy tables, tasty food (much of it fried, alas). Big tv, tuned to sports, smaller tvs, tuned to sports. The tap selection is dazzling, though--30 of them, at least 15 of them great (today, anyway). Very knowledgable, easy-going, friendly staff. All the way around it’s very worth the drive. If it’s not a drive for you, it’s a no-brainer. | | bitbucket (56), Kirkland, Washington | | November 11, 2006 It took a while to find the place (OK, we got lost in the big city of Renton) but well worth the effort. A nice little neighborhood tav, with an amazing selection of tap handles. From IPA to RIS to Belgian, these guys have your beer. The bartender we got was a major hop-head and steered us to some great brews. The food is good. The menu is actually better: LOL funny. Now if they could just move this place about 20 miles north to my neighborhood! | | beerchurch (28), | | January 9, 2006 The guy who owns this place is a semi-retired brewer, so he knows beer. Great selection of regional brews, especially if you are a hophead. This is the best place to drink IPA around for sure. Try thier own Dog and Pony IPA (made by Dick’s Brewing, I think). Thoughtful tap rotations. The staff is knowledgable and fun. The food is good, but the beer is great. Lovely outdoor seating when the weather is right. | | shadey (31), Rochester, New York | | May 31, 2005 Great little local place. The weather was amazing so everyone was out on the back patio. Lots of happy drunk people having a good time. Not the college crowd. There were plenty of older beer geeks and people that had brought some of their own stuff. I didn’t eat any of the food, but the beer and the service was great. |
