I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. Had a nice date with my husband here and we both enjoyed the food (I got a burger, he got the Jalapeno Poppers). We split a flight plus each found a beer of our own we liked. Service was good and the place is nice without being fussy. Not too loud like a lot of the places we’ve been lately where you can hardly hold a conversation. Prices were average.

My wife and I had dinner here a few weeks ago. We really like this place. The food was very good. Service outstanding and the beer selection was solid. I’ll bet almost half their taps were VA beers which I appreciated.
Definately worth visiting. One tip, try not to sit on the patio. It faces Broad Street which is a very busy road so the traffic and fumes from the cars can be a bit much.
We’ll be back!

The jalapeno poppers with the Apocalypse Hopocalypse were the bomb.

This was our first visit. The location is in the former Empress restuarant. The calamari was excellent and their beer choices were some of the best for a small restuarant. Virginia beers were well represented. Our waitress was new but did an excellent job. Everyone was especially warm and cordial. This was a good place for beer and food but it has been noisey both times we have had dinner.
