Not too far from center, thou getting here without car might be struggle. Large amusement park where you usually come with family. There is authentic Latvian cusine in one of the building and brewery downstairs. They have their core beers here available. Not really worth coming 'cause you can get them in city as well.

Large place with multiple buildings, quite far from the center. The main building had "beer cellar" area with 3 taps of their own beer and a couple of bottles available. Service was friendly enough and prices reasonable. Not a beer destination, but when in the area, it's worth having a pint there.

Ok i get a HBH vibe all over again here, a weird place with restaurants, atractions, bars everywhere. Buffet style food hall, food was ok. Beer was average. It was a fun visit but its a bit away from the centre so ...

Visited during RBESG 2017. Large place with multiple outdoor recreation things intended for tourists. Inside is huge with a big buffet restaurant at the center with pay-by-weight food. Found just one house beer and a tasty kvass inside. But there was a small cafe just outside the buffet section that had all their beers, in small or large pours. Service was generic. Food was fine for large buffet stuff. Beer was just OK. You be the judge.

Visited with a small group before official RBESG 17 start to have some delayed breakfast. Best compared for all the Dutchies with an old-school Van der Valk hotel with a medieval themed style. Huge buffet with all kinds of food, nice if you pick the right stuff but not exactly cheap iirc, 3 of their own OK-ish beers available as well as some bottles (downstairs bar/brewpub wasn’t open yet). Would, as gnoff said, be nice to revisit the pub when it’s open. Huge playground next to this place, for all you who have kids.

A bit east of the centre of Riga. The tram stops a little bit away, so takes a few minutes of walk from the tram to get there. Really strange building, built as some sort of alp log cabin. Has a good food buffet. The brewery part didn’t open until 18 on weekdays, so didn’t manage to get there, but the café has all three of the LIDO beers available as well.

First time visitor to Latvia, Riga visit due to RBESG. My visit on Thursday July 20, 2017.

Took the tram down and walked to the place. The brewery didn’t open until late, but had brunch at the buffet order by what you pick section, with a kvass as well. Later we had the three beers from the café as well. Huge selection of food, not as cheap as I would expect though. Very indifferent service at the food part of it. Nice place to sit down, would be interesting to return when the brewery was open and perhaps stay a bit and enjoy the atmosphere then. Perhaps especially since both the kvass and the three beers on offer really appelaed to me.

It’s a best place for having a good dinner for low price, but not the best for drinking beer, however they got 3-4 local on tap and it’s not so bad...

Very nice complex - great place to visit. However 3 local beers are nothing special.
