Great bar "Rio" style. Good selection on tap.

Nice little place right above Botafogo metro station. It has a small inside area and a bit bigger outside area. Service leaves quite a bit to be desired but if you’re in Rio, you’re probably already used to it. I had some of the food and it was really nice. The main star is, of course the beer. What makes this place a little different from most beer bars in Rio is it has a selection of Brazilian craft beers on tap which makes sampling some of them cheaper. The good thing is the owner is also a beer nut and goes to great lengths to get imported beer on tap as well as getting some exclusive local craft also on tap. The selection is always changing so it’s worth it for locals to stop in ever couple of weeks or see what they are tapping on twitter. They also have reasonable selection of bottled beer. The staff have improved a lot lately (seemingly from some proper training) and now understand proper pouring and beer recommendations. Recommended if you’re in the area and thirsty for a tasty "chopp" or keen to try some local rarities.
