Stopped in last night with my wife and one of her friends for a couple of brew. First of all it is nothing like the Wrigleyville location. This is far more of a restaurant than a bar. They had 12 taps with some pretty good brews but only 2 I have not had before. Decent selection of bottles but nothing of rarity. Nothing really special on tap either. Quite a few people including some families were dining. They do have a good size beer garden but was not that busy. Place is nice on the inside and a 100% improvement on the restaurant that inhabited this space before. Service was ok. Would stop back again for dinner if in area but would not go out of my way to stop in for drinks. stopped in only 3 days after opening. taps are not yet running but they showed me the upcoming draft list and its quite exciting. met jennifer and jason behind the bar and they were very eager for my business. they gave me some free pizza which is currently my own judgement of the food (it was good). draft and bottle list are far above average, cant believe this is all available 1 mile from my house. i will be stopping back in to continue to scope the place and will re rate at that time. |
