Huge restaurant that keeps going and going. Nice big old bar area with TVs. Plenty of pretty good taps. Decent enough bottle selection. Food is excellent, if a bit pricey. Went there specifically for some Alesmith, and was not disappointed. With Oasis and others, the craft beer scene in Rockford is really looking nice.

Visited here this past weekend. Place was huge, a lot bigger than I was expecting. Easy to find for sure. The bar area was nice, 28 beers on tap, some cool stuff but nothing mind blowing. They did have a decent bottle selection including some Cantillon and some limited Firestone Walker stuff. We ordered a pizza which was very good, the other menu items seemed a little pricey. The beer is pricey as well and isn’t a place we would stay at for more than just a few. Overall pretty cool place and we’ll probably be back at some point again.

Great bar. Probably one of the best craft selections in town. Good crafts come and go on tap but the website is usually pretty updated as to what is there currently and what is coming in the future. As of this review, Stone, Founders, Lost Coast and a New Belgium LOF beer are all on tap. EDIT: They now offer to-go beer as well.

Went there on the day of Darkness the brews on tap.were 010 BCS,EXPY,Stones RIS,OLD Raspy nitrogen,Dragon’s Milk and fade to black, pretty impressive line up.The food is world class being that it is a Resturant Steaks,Seafood,chops, with some of the recipes using beer,Zac the beer buyer is a big as beer geek as any of us. It’s nice to see that Rockford is moving forward in the craft beer movement!!!

I agree with Substance T. Not a bad place but certainly nothing worthy of being called a place for a good beer selection. The food isn’t bad but it isnt anything special you ccouldn’t get at other places in town.

The Olympic Tavern is a waste and I truly wonder why this was added (new member, adds this place, gives it rave reviews and rarely returns). Their beer selection is marginal and cointains mostly macros. Occasionally they have seasonal Sam Adams or Bells when it was in Illinois. I have been to this place more than a couple times and each time the service was marginal. Food selection is your typical bar food but in the higher price range. The bar area is okay, pretty smoky. If you are looking for an overpirced meal Id suggest going to this place. If it is beer that you are into DEFINATELY go somewhere else. In Rockford go to the Carlyle for beer and Garrett’s for a meal like you would find here, just better.

Many unique brews that you’re just not going to find outside of Chicago, Check their website for current beer lists/specials.
