April 8, 2012 Ambience: Very nice. High roof, almost warehouse like, with a simple, slightly rustic decor. First thing you see going in the front door is the brick pizza ovens, and the woodsmoke aroma hits you pleasantly. Service: Wasn’t terribly busy at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon. Waiter was friendly, knew the tap list by heart, and clearly was a beer fan. Selection: About 10-15 taps, all of which were craft beer. Allagash, Sierra Nevada, North Coast, Smuttynose, New Belgium etc. They clearly care about beer here. Food: Ridiculously good. The sliders are a perfect appetizer, the pizzas are remarkable, and the dessert is awesome. Value: Medium-high end Rockville fare. 1 appetizer, 5 beers, 2 entrees, 1 dessert ran $90. Overall: Come for the food, enjoy the beer. No matter what you like, there’s a craft brew in your style that will complement the food. It’s a well-crafted tap selection. Book a reserve pretty far out, because it’s actually pretty hard to get a table here. |
