72 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 15/20
I got one of their email newsletters the other day and saw a particular Lagunitas beer on the draft list. So I rushed on over there to get a growler filled. The place certainly lives up to its "word-of-mouth" reputation - not so-exciting atmosphere but really great everything else. Iíve been wanting to go for dinner to try the much-talked-about food, but didnít get the chance on my first visit. As stated, I only stopped in to fill a growler. The two dining rooms remind me of a Knights of Columbus or Elks hall; extremely inexpensive tables, chairs, table cloths and decorations. The bar area boasts the same atmosphere, but thatís not the important part. That would be the list on the chalkboard on the wall - the draft and new bottle list. The Bistro had quite the selection! I donít care much about ambiance and atmosphere, so Iíll definitely be back to the French Quarter. And this time, itíll be for dinner and more beer! Stay tuned for an updated rating soon!
