78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 DocLock (144) Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania | August 8, 2012 Former Sly Fox Royersford. 16 taps here, with Two Hearted always on, and a very good draft selection. The service has always been above average, the food very good with a cajun flair. This isn;t as good as Iron Hill, but is a solid all around place to eat dinner. | 84 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 17/20 boxofrane (34) pottstown, Pennsylvania | May 3, 2012 This is a pretty cool place. Used to be Sly Fox in Royersford. Nice sized bar, good tv’s with sports. I had the Reuben which was awesome. Fries were solid as well. Beer selection is pretty good with about 20 taps and a good assortment of bottles. Prices were pretty competitive. | 82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 15/20 obxdude10 (104) Pottstown, Pennsylvania | January 12, 2012 This is formerly the second Sly Fox location on Lewis Road in Royersford. Nothing has really changed since the sale and switch in ownership. In fact, the Sly Fox sold the place to one of its longtime employees. I rated the food NA because this was my first time stopping in, and I only sat at the bar for two beers and took off. I didn’t even take a peek at the food menu. But the beer selection was excellent. They were offering draft selections from Green Flash, Lagunitas, Stone, DFH, of course Sly Fox, Sierra Nevada, Oskar Blues, Allagash, Bell’s, Flying Dog, Harpoon, Left Hand, Rogue, etc. They also had an enormous bottle selection, featuring both domestic and imports. If you’re a local, it’s definitely a place worth checking out. If you’re just passing through and need a beer fix, it’ll do for that, too. I think I’ll probably give it a whirl for dinner one night soon, to see how decent the food is. When I do, I’ll be sure to update my review. But for now, looks like a decent place to grab a few really nice beers! |
