March 25, 2009 This bar has an amazing selection for what is on tap. Their menus are categorized by type of beer and, like all Flying Saucers, you get to create an account and build up a list of the different beers you have had. Good for trying out different ones, especially if you don’t want to have to pick up full cases at the specialty stores. I started at the top of the list with a Paulaner Oktoberfest and then the next dobblebock. |

January 21, 2009 Someone once referred to this place as the "Hooters of Beer Bars" and I think it lives up to the name based on the eye candy that prances around (my boyfriend much appreciates). However, this should not be a knock on the Saucer, as they do offer great ambiance, a wide selection of beer, and a friendly staff. I was not at all impressed with the food. I’d prefer a menu like what can be found at a place like the Yardhouse, but it is what it is. Overall a very good experience and the selection can rarely be matched. Probably could use some more frequent cleaning of their beer lines though as I’ve had some beers that had a little extra funk in them before. |

June 7, 2008 Typical Flying Saucer location....okay atmosphere, great selection and pretty good food. One thing I like about this chain is that the servers generally know there stuff...which is great for patrons who are not beer nerds like most of us are. |

May 24, 2008 Visited this place in April 2008 while on a business trip and was very impressed. I don’t get out much, but the selection was fantastic...great to try local beers and had a smattering from around the country as well. My Live Oak Hefe hit the spot. The food was good. The ambience was a little noisy and chaotic...but the waittresses were really hot, so that was a saving grace. |

August 29, 2007 This place is great when visiting it on offpeak hours. Forget about it on Fri or Sat nights as the place turns into a yuppy scum blackhole. |

April 8, 2007 Hangout for after-work crowds. Been there 4 or 5 times and service varies from pretty good to very slow. Great selection, but last time I went, they didn’t have what I was looking for (Flensburger Dunkel). Haven’t tried the food. A little on the expensive side compared to San Antonio’s other beer emporium on the far north side. |

March 5, 2007 I thought this place was great. The selection is amazing, and if you go on the right night, very reasonable. I loved the ambiance. If people are complaining about it being too loud it’s because they are too old. A very young and hip crowd, the waitstaff is gorgeous and I always got great service. The food was great as well. I spent four days straight there while on a business trip. I couldn’t recommend it more. |
