Ale Smith puts out some of the best beer anywhere. This location is a pretty small tasting room, but they had some good stuff on tap. It’s near many other breweries, so it’s definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Had to stop here and beers did not dissapointreally great beers as expected. I did not try the sausages they weregrilling outside. The staff was usy but attentive and quick. The one negative is the place is way way too small.. There were probably 100 people in a 500 square foot room and tiny bathroom with a line. They need more space but otherwise awesome.

Picked up bottles a few weekends ago with t0rin0, then returned later in the day to sample some scrumptious Speedway variants (including the Beer Geek collaboration). Really cool place. Would like to see what it is like without being packed wall to wall with people. Tents set up out back with food trucks (had a shitty chicken sandwich from one of the trucks, but won’t count that in the rating). They were doing Speedway flights, four 4 oz pours for $9 - an awesome deal. The only thing missing is a sweet patio setup to take advantage of the beautiful San Diego weather.

Place is small and crowded, in an industrial area, but I’ve always had good service and a pleasant experience. Good selection of Alesmith beers and usually something rare too. Food truck was excellent. I’ll be back.

A nicely kept brewery that was a little difficult to find at dusk, but not too hard. The tasting room is somewhat small but there is room to slide out back and grab some grub from a local food truck. The staff stayed busy and that made getting beers ordered take a bit.

Visited this afternoon on a tour of some of the north SD breweries. Was not disappointed. Fantastic beers on tap - thought of the Speedway Stout varieties were out. Helpful and friendly staff. Very good visit.

Stopped by a few years back to pick up BA speedway bottles. Warehouse setting with barrels everywhere. Solid tsp list and food trucks.

He Alesmith for Speedway Grand Prix. The line up was insane. That being said, I imagine it’s a bit more tame on a typical day. Friendly staff. Nice selection of house brews. Worth the stop if your in SD.

Not totally easy to find, but the GPS took us there. Well designed tasting room, not very crowded when we visited. This was maybe the place with the highest priority to visit during our stay in the San Diego area. With that in mind, the beer selection was a bit of a disappointment. I was very happy to drink Vietnamese Coffee and a collab with Cigar City. My expectations was maybe too high but I was hoping for even more. Decent prices and we did come back the second time. Definately a must visit, but don’t hope for too many rare beers.
