Visited last year. Great brewery with tap room, big selection of all of their beers. The patio at the sunset was very nice. I remember a splendid Sculpin IPA on tap. Very nice place.

Indoors area is small, but lots of great beer available with multiple casks and numerous taps including specialties. Awesome place.

Brewery is stationed in an industrial park. I didnt take the tour just hung out in the tasting room. They have a great selection on their beers on draft which are available in bombers or growlers, and couple cask (2). Some are brewpub only which makes it worth the trip. All the beers are fresh and tasty. They have plenty of seating outside and plenty of stand around tables inside. Pretty cool place to get a beer.

Visited in 2009. Like the place, typical small US microbrewery. Beers are very good. The guy running the tasting room gave me a very good brewery tour. Was here in 2006 the last time, have to come back soon.

Stopped here after Alesmith. This is a bigger operation, with patio seating and everything. Still no real food though. Great taplist, including stuff that is not otherwise available, and the staff know what they are doing. Four oz tasters are around $2, which is still a pretty good deal to me.

This was our second stop tasting beers in San Diego. Ballast Point is located a beautiful industrial park. There is no food served and there is an outside terrace. . I have had some their beers that come East. I tasted The Sextant, Serrano Pepper Pale Ale and Even Keel. This is a fast growing brewery and they talked of further expansion in California. great palce to spend the afternoon. They had college football games on a flat screen.

Tucked away in a nice business park area we were able to get a quick tour of the place. Enjoyed many of there limited brews and enjoyed most all of them. It was crowded but the staff was doing there best to accomadate everybody.

Much like lost abbey and Alesmith, ballast point is tucked away unassumingly in a business campus park. The tasting room has a small to medium size standing room with several taps of both year round selections and seasonal / barrel- treated / one-offs. Extremely friendly staff and all the drafts are cheap as hell. Def go if you’re in the San Diego area.
