This store opened semi recently (a couple years ago), and was my goto beer store for more than a year (used to live across the street). I still stop by from time to time whenever I pass by Mira Mesa to see what I can find here. The prices are standard BevMo prices which are generally speaking pretty good. They get some of the rare stuff, but since this is a semi-high traffic area, I’d just call in advance to make sure they set something aside for you if you want it. They have a pretty good San Diego craft representation. All the usual AleSmith, Stone, Ballast Point, etc etc. My main gripe would be that they don’t get Russian River. They’ll get all the wider distro rare stuff though. I’ve picked up Lost Abbey Angels share here at reasonable prices. They usually get a case of Utopias every year (6 bottles), so just be on the ball with calling them if you want that. The service is just whatever. I mean, the staff are really nice, but I’ll be honest, among the 4-5 guys I’ve talked to there, none of them have any deep knowledge of the SD craft beer scene at all.
