| dcschiller (42), Scottsdale, Arizona | | October 10, 2011 Easily the worst BevMo! I’ve been to. The cooler section is very small and the beer section is quite small -2 aisles, including macros. The only redeeming feature of this place is that I can get some beers that I can’t get in AZ. Drive 5 minutes to Whole Foods Hillcrest for a much better selection. | | JohnnyJ (94), San Diego, California | | April 19, 2009 Mission Valley BevMo. Good selection, but not amazing. The staff is OK. It’s a good place to stop by every once in a while. | kflorence (3), San Diego, California does not count - explanation | | September 15, 2008 Bevmo has a great selection of brews and they are all reasonably priced. Their stores are clean and they usually have lots of sales. Staff is friendly but not very knowledgeable... they are just people working a job, not beer/wine experts. Head to the Grossmont/La Mesa location, seems to have the best stock.... Mission Valley is convenient but smaller. It’s where I get my beer down here. | | cbkschubert (39), Cochise Co., Arizona | | August 19, 2007 Mission Valley location - A nice selection of CA micros and imports. Very few hard to find beers though. Decent prices. Close to the hotels and centrally located. Worth a stop. | | Eyedrinkale (129), Astoria, New York | | August 16, 2004 I like the staff at the Camino de la Reina store (right in Mission Valley). For a chain, I think the selection could be better. The beers are warehoused somewhere before arriving at the stores so new stuff sometimes takes a bit longer to get. BevMo also has some caviar and cheeses, as well as a decent root beer selection. Sign up for the BevMo Club and get a 5% coupon in the mail for every $250 that you spend. | | DanielBrown (191), Birmingham (via Leicester), England | | May 19, 2004 I went to the Mission Vally BevMo, and was impressed with the selection of both US and international beers, especially German. They also had glasses which looked very tempting, though I’m sure they would have ended up being smashed in my suitcase if I’d indulged myself, and taken them back to England. My only complaint was that a lot of beers were only sold in six packs and they wouldn’t let me buy single bottles: this wasn’t much use for me as I wanted to try as wide a range as possible, during my short stay. |
