Visited 4/ 23. J shape bar, dozen seats. 10 inside tables. 20.plus outside, covered outside. Food good. I had fish torta, wife had jalapeno chicken salad. Both were specials . Draft list good, heavy west coast slant. Impressive bottle list. It’s in a strip.mall so ambience is mixed. Certainly worth visit when in San Diego.

It was a while back that I went but remember it very fondly and would most definitely make stop there through on my next trip. It’s an odd location and ambience....normally the strip mall dive bar thing wouldn’t work, at least not outside of CA. But this totally does, in part because it is imbued with spirit of the crazy quantity of amazing beer that has been poured here. The beer list is their own and sits in the excellent classic and only-in-SD-local variety that doesn’t seem to care too much about trends. High marks in overall for this. The bartenders were great. I don’t remember much about the food but it certainly wasn’t bad.

We stopped past here after visiting Alesmith and Hess. The location is a bit unusual - it’s surrounded by Asian eateries. The exterior/Interior is "Irish themed" dive bar. The tap list was solid, but not outstanding when I visited. It was however full of interesting Californian microbrews I hadn’t heard of before. The bottle list was pretty extensive and I managed to get a Framboise de Amorosa . They even had BA Speedway Stout on the list.....but unsurprisingly it was out of stock -damn! Food was so-so. All round it’s a good place for beer, but not outstanding given some of the other places in the SD area.

Great place for beer and camaraderie. A sensational bottle list, and friendly people all around. The place is a corner in a strip mall surrounded by noodle houses and a car dealership, but really, what are you there for?

Great place! Very low-key vibe...nothing to look at. Not at all pretentious. Literally in a strip mall but the tap and bottle list is consistently world class. Didn’t try the food but probably should have. Let’s just say hitting Hamilton’s, then O’Brien’s isn’t the best of ideas on an empty stomach...but they put up with me. Had bottles of Older Viscosity and Isabelle Proximus (visited back when it was originally released). Looking at their website makes me salivate and I so wish place like this was down the street! Oh, to live in San Diego!

My kind of place. Dive bar all the way with a superb tap list and a cool vibe. Very chill. Reminds me of bars I grew up in back east but with a distinct SD feel.

I visited here for lunch with my brother this past Monday. Located in a strip mall this place was a lot smaller than I expected. A hole in the wall with ok service. Beer selection is some of the best in the area. Food was just ok. I ordered chicken strips. Overall a good stop. Just not what I expected. If you looking for a hole in the wall beer joint with a good selection this is for you.

Stopped by here the same night the National Homebrew Conference people were in town and being bused in and out of the place all night. The service was extremely friendly even with the scores of people showing up. Great selection – had Silva on tap! Had a BLT sandwich that was killer and made with homemade bacon. I’d be a regular if I lived nearby. Great place.

Easy to find location in strip mall off Convoy. Parking lot in front of building. Corner of building with entrance and patio in the front and bar on left. Tables on the side. Friendly staff. Good selection of beers on tap with 17 Russian River beers from tasting the night before. Good lunch menu. I had a sandwich, Very good. Well worth the visit and I will go again when back in town.
