Didnít plan on going here, but came across it on my walk to 21A. It was just about closing time so nobody really inside. Looks like they make food here, but no idea of the quality of that. The beer selection was essentially no better than your average corner liquor store or gas station. Typical handful of big brand/name micros and a lot of Bud, Miller, Coors, Heineken, etc. Scroll past.

Second stop of the day. I wasnít expecting much from a deli in an area where there arenít many restaurants or bars but they actually had a half way decent selection. They have half a dozen fridges full of beer, mostly six packs. There is one door with singles and another with macros but the rest are six packs. All the usuals are there like Lagunitas, Mendocino, Full Sail, Rogue, North Coast, Speakeasy, Sierra Nevada, etc. Prices were a little high but not too bad. Somewhere between liquor store and restaurant pricing, even though I donít think you can actually drink any of the beer you buy here on premise. The lady at the counter was nice but I wasnít interested in eating anything at the moment since I was on my way to the Mikkeller bar. Its right by the Moscone Center so if youíre there for something else go ahead and stop in, otherwise donít travel across the city for it.

Stopped at this place mainly because it is on the walk from City Beer to Whole Foods - SOMA, and it had a sign out front advertising more than 100 craft beers in stock. Typicaly liquor/convenience store feel. Beer in coolers in the back. Nothing even remotely special here. Prices are pretty good, but being sandwiched between two great beer shopping locations makes this place a pass unless you are desperate.

Well this was the first beer place I visited in San Francisco. Iím surprised it is not listed on the site. Itís a small grocery store that sells some delicatessen and prepares gourmet sandwiches and stuff. Pretty much like a Gas Stationís minimarket. The difference is the very nice selection of beers and wines it has. A great selection of American Micros and the most important thing is that the prices were excellent. Most singles costed less than $2 US dollars, Got an Arrogant Bastard Ale growler for $4.99 too. I recommend this place in the Soma area. I still have to visit City Beer and other places in the area.
