Went here for a friend’s surprise birthday party. As sort of a math guy, I appreciate what they’re doing here. They open at 3:14 and incorporate 3.14 into specials and stuff like that. This place bills itself as a beer and pizza establishment. The pizza is very good. The base price isn’t bad, but they absolutely REAM you for toppings. There are no combo deals, and veggie toppings cost $2.50 each while meat toppings cost an obscene $4.50 apiece. We ordered a large pizza with 4 meat toppings after having a few beers and were horrified to see it came out to $38! Most expensive pizza I’ve ever had. The beer selection is a little better than decent. There are about 11 taps, featuring beers like Supplication, Blind Pig, and Death & Taxes when I was there. Taps are almost all local beers whereas bottles are predominantly Belgians. Beer prices are about average for the city. The atmosphere is pretty divey, without too much decor. Relaxing place to hang out on a Sunday afternoon when not too many people are around. Service is pretty friendly and attentive. Of course, us drunkards were the only people in the bar at 4pm on a Sunday. More people started coming in around 5 or 6. Overall, not a bad place. I’m sure I’ll be back at some point. Far from one of my favorites though.
