| bernatbeer (66), barcelona, Spain | | October 6, 2011 Buena cervecería,bien montada, las cervezas no son demasiado buenas.y el trato un poco antipáticoPero hice buenos amigos. | t0rin0 (6), La Verne, California does not count - explanation | | July 6, 2011 Visited numerous times since 2007. In the old days they had music and darts and even a grill out back (though that may have been for employees only). For $15 you got a pint glass and 4 tokens to have it filled, which I always thought was excessive but of course you can bring the tokens back.
The service was always real helpful and they did informal tours periodically. Nowadays they’re still really nice but it’s much more crowded and it’s harder to get any help.
They always have the regular lineup (Big Daddy, Double Daddy, Godfather, Untouchable, etc) plus a few rotating/one-offs (special dry hopped variations or barrel aged what have yous).
Cool place over all. Worth a stop if you want to hang out but realistically you can get most of their beers at the liquor stores. | | joet (67), Fulton, California | | July 5, 2011 A wonderful place to go for events. Big open spaces. Plenty of parking. Great staff. Often there are opportunities to try beers at events and at the tap room here that are not widely available. It’s been my experience that the best beers from Speakeasy are most often sampled here. | | Ungstrup (335), Oamaru, New Zealand | | November 23, 2010 Industrial area location for this warehouse brewery. It’s a huge place, but quite dark, with a small bar area and music stage close to the entrance, from where the whole of the brewery can be seen. A good place to go to sample their beer range, which is from good to great, or pick up bottles for take away. We were treated really well at the RBSG. If I’m in SF again on a Friday I want to come back. | | SamGamgee (182), down the whirlpool, California | | August 2, 2009 These guys were very gracious hosts for RBSG, and made sure we had a good time. basically just a brewery warehouse setup, but with a small bar and stage for live music. All of their regular beers were on, plus some special kegs and casks for the day. Even though I’m pretty neutral toward their beers, the brewers are great guys and I would definitely stop in again. | | wavers1 (39), Notown, California | | July 31, 2009 cool, efficient brewey with a lil tasting area. lots of great beers on tap for great prices. will def come back if im in the area. | | IrishBoy (82), Bakersfield, California | | July 17, 2009 RBSG 09. The guys took great care of us and put on lots of their special beers! Only food was popcorn but that went well as i sampled their beers. Beers were free to us, but were $3 pints to people who came for their tasting | | fidel (67), Livermore, California | | July 16, 2009 RBSG09- Open wherehouse. They pulled out the good stuff for us. | | Slopoke (10), San Francisco, California | | July 8, 2009 Being in an industrial area, the ambiance is almost non. That being said it is an incredible place. Almost lost in Hunters Point makes the place feel more legitimate. Only open on Fridays from 4-9, on a token system like Brooklyn Brewery. $3 a token and some kinda t-shirt-Pint Glass deal also. Free Popcorn. Last time I was there they brought in tacos and Burritos from a local spot for cheap. Now for the BEER. Obviously the Freshest Big Daddy anywhere, the Double Daddy is a powerful elixir. They also brought a Gravity keg out, a Blonde Dry-Hopped ale that was Superb. Balanced and Fresh, you can almost taste the grain. The Best was the Hunters Point Porter on a Bourbon Barrel. WOW. 10%. SMOOTH. | | Beese (50), Watford, England | | September 6, 2008 Fun brewery to hang out at on a Friday night, an eclectic mix of people there for the cheap, fresh brews. All or at least most of their beers were there from what I could tell all for $2 a pint! It’s a great place to hang out and play a game of... well I don’t know what it’s called, but it involves tossing metal hoops into holes in a wooden box... more fun than this description makes it sound... I’d be there every Friday if I were a local. |
