Steep Brew

So this isn’t the first Steep Brew I’ve run into but I didn’t realize until last night that it’s actually owned by Whole Foods, rather than some partnership (like Starbucks setting up a stand in the grocery store). They have a pretty decent tap selection here. They had several 21A beers and the SF Beer Week collaboration pale lager. I went with a glass of the newly released Game of Thrones beer (the third one, Fire and Blood or something like that). They also had the second Game of Thrones release on tap and I guess they had done a release party the day before as there is a display of 750s on the end of the counter. Its a pretty nice place and there is entrance on the street level as well as a staircase up into the Whole Foods. Can’t say I’ll make this a regular stop but it is right around the corner (literally) from the Anchor brewery.

Steep Brew is a coffee shop slash bar located in ground floor of the Portrero Hill Whole Foods. Interesting local-dominated tap list, 4 beer tasting flights, and decent customer service. Whats not to like?
