72 Visited March 23, 2013 for the sole purpose of having visited every place in SLO that is listed here on RB.
Bottle selection is more or less what you find in every Bevmo with a slight emphasis on Firestone and with one (postive) surprise: they had Vitus (VITUS) and for $2.99 per bottle. Sweet. Also saw some AleSmith Grand Cru, IPA, and X along with some Figueroa Mountain. The beer selection here wasnt huge but I do appreciate the AleSmith and the Firestone. Service was friendly and the guy at the register cracked a few jokes. He said "are you guys 21?" We answered yes. He then said "no, you’re lying, you’re way older than 21." On the way out though I heard him say to his coworker to remind him to check IDs. Guess it wasnt so much a joke as covering his own ass in the event that he gets busted for not checking IDs. Oh well, I’m well over 21. |
70 Better Selection than I was expecting. Picked up some New Belgium Lips of Faith and some Hangar 24 beers. |
76 Standard BevMo with a nice selection of SoCal beers. They seem to have a better than average representation of beers from Deschutes for some reason. Nothing special or unusual but a good selection at fair prices. |
72 Not bad, not great. A typical Bevmo. The biggest selection in the area but nothing super rare that I’ve seen. Just a nice place to pick up a few beers for the weekend. |
