25 reviews for Bottle Barn
| Lubiere (177), Ottawa, Ontario | | August 30, 2009 Visited August 16, 2009. This liquor store is well stocked with a good selection of beers, at affordable prices. The 750 ml RR Temptation was a good 5$ less than at the brewpub, the Ruben and the Jets was 3.99$ (vs 5$ at the Lagunitas store)...so, when in Santa Rosa, its worth a stop for your bottle fix. The selection is smaller than other locations I visited, but well selected. | | AtlAggie (11), Atlanta, Georgia | | June 23, 2009 Pretty good bottle shop not too far away from Russian River. Huge place, but lots of space taken up by liquor and wine. Good selection of beer, but personally found more intriguing bottles at the SF bottle shops I visited (Healthy Spirits and City Beer). Prices seemed slight better here, though. No staff present to help me out when I visited was a downside. Shipping supplies for sale up front (styro shippers of all sizes) was a plus. Worth checking out if you’re in the area anyway, but wouldn’t seek it out if I was too far out of the area. | | wavers1 (30), novato, California | | June 12, 2009 great place, about 1 dozen mikkellers, not a great local selection when i was there. but lots of hard to find midwest and eascoast beers like jolly pumpkin, etc. didn’t ask for help, but staff seemed to be very knowledgable when i was eavesdropping. actually not impressed at all by their spirits selection, it was large, but nothing special. but a great wine selection. def one of the top 3 bottle shops in norcal. | | Beardface (35), Eugene, Oregon | | May 9, 2009 Stopped in to this place after a trip to Russian River, and they had bottles of Abyss for under 9 dollars in February! That’s cheaper than it is here in Oregon and 3-4 months after it was released. Craziness! I also got an awesome stein for about 6 bucks, so all in all it was a successful trip. Also a bottle of RR Salvation for 7 bucks. Good value. | | SamGamgee (83), Santa Cruz (La Selva), California | | April 14, 2009 Great selection overall with many bombers and a decent amount of smaller singles and great prices. Good values on everything overall including RR stuff for less than the brewery sells if for down the road. The massive scope of the place in general is pretty cool. More liquor than I thought existed. Definitely a recommended stop when in the area. | | marcus (87), Sacramento, California | | March 18, 2009 I spent almost an hour discussing beer distribution and specific beers with John, who is trying to maintain a beer stock that will interest both occasional beer drinkers and beer junkies. He has assembled a great collection of west coast microbrews, as well as an impressive international selection. This is a good place to find Russian River brews, some of which are not available at the brewery, and usually at a lower price. This is the place for retail beer in Santa Rosa. | | Ibrew2or3 (161), Safety Harbor, Florida | | March 7, 2009 It is tucked away into an industrial park setting with solid warehouse appeal inside and out. The inside is seriously spacious. The beer area is decent enough in size but only makes up about an eighth of the total retail space. They have a very nice array of west coast craft beer bombers and sixes. I was very happy to see a couple of cases of The Abyss just sitting there waiting for me to take home. I walked away with 13 bombers and left behind many more I wish I could picked up. I love that they provide an array of styro shippers for purchase. They seemed pretty inexpensive too. | | heemer77 (171), Savannah, Missouri | | January 4, 2009 Warehouse looking store in a warehouse neighborhood. I liked the selection and the prices. I was able to get a lot of new to me California made brews. A lot of bombers and other single large bottles were in the cooler. The Belgian selection was decent. Certainly worth a stop if you are in the area. My main problem was the closing time. Who closes at 6:30 at night? | | caesar (119), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands | | September 30, 2008 Recommended by the bartender from Russian River, as there might be some of the specialty RR brews available. Too bad they didnt have any available anymore, but still the selection of nice californian beers was pretty good. No real exquisite beers, but they are probably nowhere to be found. | | footbalm (54), Salt Lake City, Utah | | August 10, 2008 On recommendation from odeed. Really don’t give a shit if it is a fucking doghouse as long as the beer selection is great. I dont need assistance to service dont matter either but when I asked for more Pliny the Elder the cat working simply asked me how many ya’ want and then went and got’em.
They also gave me the right directions to the highway. The selction was very good, tone of CA brews which what I went there for. |
