| Dedollewaitor (207), Odense, Denmark | | July 11, 2011 Very small and cozy brewpub in a tiny Franconian village. Old and original feel. Entered on a saturday afternoon and the older waitress supplied me with their bottled beers for a sum of 80 cents per. bottle. She was very chatty and I felt very welcome. The Witzgall Lager is only served at their keller which is located 1,5 Km further down the road The beers are quality! Hope to visit again! | | mullet (224), Melbourne, Australia | | January 20, 2010 A pleasant hour-long stroll through rural-industrial estates, don’t miss the paint factory with the multicoloured statues. We walked in as the clock struck noon and the old guys joked that the free beers had just finished. Nice. Classic old lady’s front room style, replete with a few old guys hanging about to keep the landlady on her toes. Excellent beer, but no Landbier. Another place where I would’ve liked to have stayed longer, but the language divide probably would’ve made things awkward pretty quickly. | | MartinT (469), Montreal, Quebec | | May 30, 2006 As it was sunny and balmy, we sat in the yard behind the brewery and the pub, where most locals were that day. They only had the Völlbier from the tap, which was a fun quaff, but nothing as challenging as their Landbier, which was served from the bottle. I liked the latter so much that I asked to bring back a bottle, which the friendly matron gave me for free! Great conversations with the curious locals, very good beer, relax atmosphere, what more could you want from a Franconian countryside brewery? | | pivnizub (379), Bochum, Porúří, Germany | | April 27, 2006 [ Updated October 7, 2011 ] The Gaststube is a spartan, basic boozer with a low ceiling, quite dim...But the copper covered bar is always well polished ! Outside, in the small lane between the pub and the brewery (which looks a bit like a toolshed) You can sit in the narrowest beer-garden You can imagine. A nice, rurall place with a beer, that is worth a detour.....
They own also a summer beer garden on the edge of town ! |
