Certainly a fun place. Nice outside seating, good beers on tap. Food is meh.

The best single beer brewed in the state, the inebriator stout, a Russian Imperial, that was a meal in itself. Not only the locals did not know of this beer, the youngins of the local beer scene know this place as a steak house, not the quality of their offerings. The Inebriator was still served a bit on the cool side, and it was worth hanging out outside until it came to room temperature, further I must have had every patron at the bar buying in. Note this: Happy hour=$2 pints, for a great RIS that was worth the price of admission. And its great incentive to try everything else, not that many other beers on.

A tourist trap with western style trail drive food. Beers are the best thing here. The blond is good with the food. The stout is a great ending beer. Not open for lunch which is a shame because they do make good burgers.

Forgot to try the beer, but sampled the ribs. They were not spicy and I was really disappointed about that. I guess I should have gotten the steak. The atmosphere was to be desired with sliced ties everywhere and business cards stapled to the wall. Too much $$.

We arrived before they opened and the bartender saw us outside walking around and warned us to watch out for rattlesnakes. Apparently their biggest seller is an orange hefeweizen. Didn’t think much of it.

welcome to the tackiest place on earth...i’m sure the snow birds love this freak show. service is great. i almost feel bad for them...i would want to stab myself in the eye with a steak knife if i had to work in this kitsch. menu is minimal but decent if you like meat and fried things. beer is good since yarosh left. worth the trip just to feel better about yourself...

Big place located next to Pinnacle Peak Park, so it’s a convenient place to have a beer after a hike up the peak. They make a decent steak, too. Beers were so so. They had nine of their own the night I visited and they offer a sampler. It was a week night, so the place wasn’t packed. Service was great.

A quaint touch of the old west: Dirt parking lot, hitching post out front (they call them hitching post TAR), picnic tables, saw dust floors and a live cowboy singing western songs. I had the special 8 oz. fillet, with cowboy beans, salad, corn on the cob and baked potato. The steak was perfect and the beans really tasty. The beers were flavorful, but rather mild for this San Diego home boy. Highly recommended for the food, if you are in the area, and the beers aren’t bad, but also nothing special.

Established in 1957 as a steakhouse, Pinnacle Peak Patio, is a Scottsdale institution. For 40+ years, they have been grilling up some of the best steaks on the planet. This place has got so much history and charm, words don’t do it justice. It really is a fun place to go to eat, and for a beer lover it gets even better. See, Pinnacle Peak put in a brewery years back(now owned by Sorona Brewing), so not only do you get great steak, you get great beer! I’ll give you some fair warning, don’t wear a neck tie when you visit this place, or you will find it hanging from the ceiling along with tens of thousands of others that have been collected over the years. I enjoyed one of the best steaks in my life, when I had the "Cattleman" a 24oz mesquite grilled porterhouse steak. Had I not had lunch at The Cowboy(see my review) earlier in the day, I would have tried the 32oz "Cowboy" steak, but there is always next time. This place is a Scottsdale institution, and it is easy to see why. The food and atmosphere alone would make the trip a must, but the beers made it all the more special for me, or any beer lover. I enjoyed a sampler which included a blonde ale, a pale ale, a hefeweizen, an amber ale, and a Winter Porter.

If you like rustic old west, you’ll like this place. If not, skip everything and just try the beer and save yourself some $$. They only serve steak, ribs and chicken. The steak was touted as being the best you ever had - I’ve had better. The cheapest meal is $14.95 (sirloin steak) & a baked potato and corn on the cob are extra. They do have seasonal beers along with their 4 regulars, a large patio, a smoking area and children are welcome. This is a casual dining event - after all, you do sit at a picnic table. They even have a little rattle snake aquarium.
