| NachlamSie (358), Tennessee | | May 23, 2012 This is a pretty traditional, tasteful brewpub. The beer lineup was very impressive with strong emphasis on hoppy styles. There were plenty of interesting choices available. I thought it was kind of cool that they had some decent guest bottles as well. For dinner I had curried schnitzel which is as delicious as it sounds. This was a great first brewery stop for me in Seattle. | | zizzybalubba (68), Elizabeth City, North Carolina | | May 17, 2012 Elysian Brewing is located in the First Hill neighborhood in Seattle (and was conveniently just a few blocks away from the hotel when I visited). Elysian fits in well with the surrounding neighborhood and has a very comfortable and more “alternative” vibe than Downtown Seattle. Because I live 3000 miles away all of the selections were foreign to me other than beers I had tried at festivals. What I tried was good. The food was good and service was fast even though it was crowded. Prices were reasonable. Nice brewpub. | | AguynamedTodd (75), Illinois | | May 11, 2012 Visited the pub a few weeks ago. Finding the place was not a problem but parking is. Had to pay $8 to park; anyone thinks that’s a little high? Anyway, the pub is located in an area with lots of restaurants and bars. The bartenders were very attentive and were eager to help me sort out what beers are worth trying in the area/region. Thanks Nicole for the help and I hope you guys enjoyed your beers. I’ll see you all next year!
| | 19Ei8hty (63), Washington | | May 11, 2012 Spent the afternoon here before a ball game a few weekends back. Great building, cool and unique decor. Nice bar and dining area. Only had appetizers of which is quite a step up from traditional fare of wings and cheese sticks. Good lineup of special brews and their standard offerings. Nice place to relax. | | 1FastSTi (102), Glendale, Wisconsin | | December 30, 2011 Underwhelming place. A waitress walks by and reeks of AquaNet... Ick. Beer selection was pretty decent. Atmosphere and building layout were kind of ho-hum, but I went in the afternoon. Daedalus was awesome! The sampler was a good price and pours were decently sized. | | Nuffield (85), Roseville, Minnesota | | September 10, 2011 I went here a day after Elysian Fields. This was the better location. Better scene, better beer selection. The food is ho-hum: decent but doesn’t stand out, esp. when there is such good food in the area. The beers are decent and the service was respectable. They ran out of the stout after my glass--others at my table didn’t get it on their sampler. The price on a sampler is steep--perhaps they don’t understand that a sampler is how you "sell" your brewpub: people who buy samplers are going to talk to others about their beers. Not a top-flight brewpub in the scheme of things, just average to a bit above average. | | CampesinoTino (57), Seattle, Washington | | September 4, 2011 One of the best brewpubs in Seattle and a great place for large groups. All of their beers are solid and there are always some quality guest taps. I’d definitely be a regular here if I lived in Capitol Hill. | | turboespresso (24), Port Moody, British Columbia | | May 14, 2011 Great location in one of Seattle’s hippest neighbourhoods, although not a good place for the homophobic. Nice and open. Good service and selection of beers brewed here and bottles. I really liked the appetizer, spicy shredded pork in a taco shell. Went so well with an IPA. It’s a good looking space full of Seattle hipsters and geeks with good tunes playing in the background and very good craft beer. Recommended for any beer lover who visits Seattle. Prices are very good compared to Vancouver BC. | | TheRealMGD (54), Lakewood, Washington | | January 9, 2011 Parking is tight around Elysian’s ’home base’. Beer selection is very good with a wide variety of Elysian standards, specials and seasonals, most of which are very good to excellent. In additon they have four guest handles from other local and regional brewers. Service is attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Ambiance is just short of ideal simply because of the size of the place and the number of windows - I prefer a more private establishment. But the decor is nice (PNW craft brewery Mk 1, Mod 1), the clientele are neighborly and the bar area is nicely laid out. I make it a point to stop in every couple of months to get the latest on Elysian happenings. Much better than the stadium location. | | skortila (125), Baarn, Netherlands | | August 11, 2010 [ Updated October 20, 2010 ] Nice brewpub. Good atmosphere. Helpfull and kind staff. Great nachos. Went here the day we arrived at the airport. So still a bit tired, but we definately had a good time here. |
