| OldGrowth (132), North Carolina | | September 18, 2011 Big warehouse space. Meant to hold the ball game and business lunch rushes. Service was fine when we stopped here, but it was damn slow, Unfortunate timing on our part as at least half the lines we down getting ready for the pumpkin beer line up. I had the esb and ipa. Food was good, usual pub grub salads, sandwhiches, burgers. Prices were fine for the metro area, tad high in the scheme of things. Wouldn’t go here during game time, but fine place to go if your hanging out in the area. | | Nuffield (85), Roseville, Minnesota | | September 10, 2011 I was here after a Mariners game on a lovely Summer Thursday night and it was virtually empty. I know the Mariners suck, but what’s that about? And then, their taps were decimated. No stout, no porter... Is this place reliable? Our bartender was nice but awkward--far too enthusiastic. The price on samples is a bit steep. Not a great brewpub experience, I’d go to the other location if you must. | | Getbetter (17), Cucamonga, California | | February 23, 2010 [ Updated February 26, 2010 ] This place was really nice and they make great beer. This Place is more of a bar than a brewery.Bartenders don’t know much about beer.If your in Seattle ,Elysian’s brew is a must to try out while your out there even if you don’t come here..I liked the beer so i can’t really hate on this place. | gracefullypunk (4), Oregon does not count - explanation | | December 26, 2009 Go when there aren’t games or events. I’ve never had an issue with the waitstaff--they’re knowledgeable about their beers, as they should be, and score points by allowing soccer to stay on the screen rather than switch to football. Happy hour food is good value but mediocre; regular menu is fairly tasty but higher priced. Elysian’s special brews are often quite good. | | spenser (11), | | December 25, 2009 Along with Collins, this is my stop before Mariners games. The room tends to get boomy.service is generally very good, but sometimes you get a hipster who can’t be bothered. The selection is great. Food is very good. Prices are a little high being near the stadiums. Overall a very enjoyable place. | | carruthm (26), Seattle, Washington | | December 11, 2009 Been here three times and never once left happy. Each time, service issues ranging from neddlessly snotty service wait staff to unhelpful servers. There’s plenty of other places in the area to go. Overpriced as well. | | robforbes (19), Bremerton, Washington | | May 3, 2009 very large, and seems larger in the late afternoon with only 6 people in the place. dark with art on the wall and branches with birds hanging from the celling.
service was good, no complaints.
selection was very good, about 12 of the brewpubs beers on tap, and another 15 or so to choose from.
overall a good place, but im sure that it is a lot more busy before and after the seahawks, sounders, and mariners, since it is right outside the stadiums. | | Zeswaft (110), Seattle, Washington | | February 11, 2009 Went in the fall for the pumpkin beer tasting. They had like 20 regional pumpkin beers and many of them were really good. I like the Capitol Hill Elysian better. This one is about 2 blocks from Qwest field. A better option for a post football or baseball game beer than Pyramid. Also kind of off the beaten path from Pioneer Square. I remember the service being terrible. | | kmweaver (116), Santa Rosa, California | | November 1, 2008 Huge restaurant area with a significant four-sided bar at its center. Darkly lit, pleasant place to chill and have a beer. Eight regular offerings on tap, along with numerous pumpkin remnants from the recent festival: Dark O the Moon, Great Pumpkin, Night Owl, etc. Solid offerings of the things we tried, attentive and knowledgeable waitstaff, and just immensely big for a serious brewpub. Standardly priced pints along with plenty of free samples of anything they’ve got on tap. | | BrewDad (360), Olympia, Washington | | September 17, 2008 Next stop on my quest to visit every brewery/pub in Washington State was Elysian Fields. I was on a small tasting trip over at Pyramid Brewing which is about 2 blocks away so why not stop when I have the chance. The tasting is a whole other story. Elysian Fields is a brewpub that Elysian set up right after they opened there brewery and it all took off. Right next to the two stadiums I bet this place is full on game days. Rocking to the top on those days when the teams win. The beers are all from the main brewery located off of Pike St. Not too far to travel for the fresh beer. I tried a Imperial Stout the Super Nova and this was a very tasty brew with a strong dark malt backing and a very sweet and strong flavor with a dry finish. This will kick you in the head if you drink it too fast. The food was pretty good spendy is word for this food. 10 bucks for a sandwich damn that is just way too much for a simple sandwich. Glad the beer was pretty good. The service once again was not too good. They just have the attitude of really you want something. Maybe I will get it but in my time not yours. This is just par for the course as I go on my quest for the greatest beer in the world I will have to put up with poor service. Now I can say I have been to all the Elysian brewpubs. Now only to go back for the Great Pumpkin Beer Festival. |
