| 19Ei8hty (63), Washington | | May 11, 2012 The only thing this place has going for it is its proximity vis a vis the sports venues. Bland food, mostly bland beer with a few paltry ’specials’ that kept me from walking out immediately. I guess its better than hanging out at the stadium before the game paying $10 for a 14oz. pour. | | thefixer (10), , | | February 28, 2011 Great place. Located directly across from safeco. Great beers decent food. Place gets crazy busy after games so go before. | | italianjohn (127), Penndel, Pennsylvania | | June 19, 2010 Stopped in here before going to a Mariners/Rays game. The outside patio was nice with a view of Safeco field right across the street. Definitely a great place to pregame and have some cheaper brews before going in and paying out the ass for a beer at the ballpark. They have some cute waitresses and nice mix of brews with a detailed beer menu. The outside area and inside had music and was full of life so the ambiance was great. Definitely hop in this place before a game. | | theisti (273), Leawood, Kansas | | January 13, 2010 Big open industrial type design. Gift shop as you enter, bigger bar past that. I sat in the dining room and had the sampler, cup of chili and a pizza. The sampler was nice, was allowed to choose 5, and the pours were approximately 6 ounces. The chili was fine, the pizza was pretty soupy. Service was attentive. Has more of a chain brewpub feel to it, but still worth hitting up. I would imagine my quiet lunch in January varies significantly to stopping by Pyramid before or after a Mariners game. | | carruthm (26), Seattle, Washington | | December 11, 2009 All ages, and packed to the gills on stadium event days with the types of people I generally try to avoid. Nothing against the place itself though. Huge portions of food. Watch out. Good value there. | tpatrickr (5), Richmond, Virginia does not count - explanation | | October 11, 2009 ...So the beer selection is all Pyramid. YOU COULD DO MUCH WORSE. Right next to SAFECO Field, it can get too buisy and too noisey. Fall and winter seasonal brews are exceptional (Broken Rake and Snowcap, respectively.) | | Nena (20), Seattle, Washington | | September 22, 2009 The location right by Safeco field is great for baseball fans looking for a place to chill out pre or post game. This fact causes issues for me, as I don’t go to games and I have to plan any visit to the place to not coincide with a Mariner’s Game, or deal with a big lack of parking. It can still be fun to go on game nights for the atmosphere, even if it means the place gets crowded. The service has been largely good each time I’ve been there, with one or two minor blemishes. The food’s pretty standard as brewpub food goes, but I’ve yet to have a bad experience. When it comes to the beer, Pyramid brews a solid line up, mostly of lighter beers. Out of what I’ve tried, the two I’m really not a fan of are the DPA and the Apricot Ale. My favorites so far are the winter Snow Cap and the summer MacTarnahan’s Grifter IPA. | | mcc5468 (10), | | August 21, 2009 Wnt there before the M’s vs Yankees game about three hours before the game started. The waitstaff was awesome. All we did is drink beer (way too much but that’s on us). The food looked good. Really good vibe to the place. The beer was fresh and wicked good. Apparently if you are a Red Sox fan wearing a Red Sox hat you don’t even get beat up by the Yankees fans so high-five on that. The only thing I would say is that for a top-of-the-line microbrewery I was kind of surprised to only see about 5 or 6 beers available but maybe I had hyped it up too much beforedhand. Still a pretty good place to get a beer before the game. | | cbeers21 (35), Miami, Florida | | November 28, 2008 Huge spacious interior provides a cozy feel despite its size. Pretty good selection of Pyramid beers and there are tons of tvs everywhere showing whatever sporting events are on. Reasonable prices and decent food. Cheery service as well. Worth a trip. It would be interesting to see this place before or after a sports game. | | BrewDad (360), Olympia, Washington | | May 25, 2008 [ Updated September 16, 2008 ] A huge brew pub this was a great time. I was with the folks and my family. We ate drank and really enjoyed ourselves. I can’t imagine how busy this gets during game times I bet the service is super slow then. The beer was good the food excellent we really enjoyed ourselves. I wish they had better and more selections to choose from like some special beers one only can get at the brewery. |
