| CheersMate (132), Fremont (Seattle), Washington | | December 18, 2011 Great beer selection, for a QFC. Hell, this has a great beer selection in general. I’d say the beer selection at the University VIllage has the slight advantage, edge, what have you, but this one is closely competing for having the best selection, if we’re talking about all QFCs. The prices are decent, and the beer is in the "back" of the store. You have to go up the stairs. Also, parking around here friggin’ sucks. I don’t think QFC validates for parking, so you have to do street parking, or live in the neighborhood, for it not to be a pain in the ass. The beer section can get crowded, as has been the case many Saturday nights. As other raters have said, I think they’re willing to work with you, if you have some special requests. | | SuzyGreenberg (32), Seattle, Washington | | May 21, 2009 Beer section is on the upper level of the grocery store; selection absolutely crushes the QFC just down the road on Pike, which gladly no one has added to the site as a beer store; this one offers tons of special releases (sometimes you have to ask), seasonals and some you’d frankly not expect at QFC, like Cascade sours, Southern Tier, Boulevard, etc; prices can be a little steep ($12 when Full Sail Black Sail was released), but very convenient for me | | after4ever (176), Brier, Washington | | May 18, 2009 Definitely a key place to score some extra bottles of new releases, even some of the harder to get stuff. They routinely order magnums of OSA, they get most NW specials, they get a lot of the widely distributed California stuff. They have a rock-solid selection, in other words. And their prices are 10-20% less than the boutique bottle shops. I love the boutiques, of course, but this place will sell you a case of a special release if you ask nicely and get the right person. Great staff. Great supermarket bottle-shopping option. | | skoisirius (23), Earth, Washington | | November 29, 2008 For a grocery store this place hits the money. Probably hands down the best regular grocery store in Seattle for actual good beer. Great selection of single 16.9 - 750’s...craft micro...fake micro...domestic yellow piss...they’ve got something for everyone. I usually go here when I’m looking for something somewhat normal, but a bit outside the box. Check it. |
