As far as RAMS go I like this one. Conveniently located in the mall area so you can guilt your lady into going there after wasting your life and money shopping. They have a large back bar area with TVs everywhere and long, snaking bar. Typical sportsbar atmosphere. I’d hate to be there during a Husky game. I think their beer is decent. The big red and porter are tight. The menu is huge and it’s mostly reasonably priced pub group. Usually tasty. Not sure what their happy hour is but it seems like it’s almost always going on. Only $2.99 for a monster beer on Sundays.

Take it for what it is, a brewpub right smack dab in the middle of University Village. There’s plenty of the fraternity bro’ crowd on friday and saturday nights, however weekdays bring an eclectic mix of young and old alike, aging hipsters, and the latest generation Y’ers who are now starting to get married and settle down. The latest re-incarnation of U-Village has definitely helped shift the crowd to a more mature and more beer-educated population. The infamous Jim Quilter (RIP 2009, he will be missed by all) took over as head brewer a while back and during his tenure he transformed the recipes and tap selection into something that this RAM location hadn’t seen since the very beginning... drinkable, interesting, and intriguing brews. I was impressed with the attitude of the staff when I asked if I could speak with the brewmaster, he shared stories and a laugh or two and even was willing to give me some of the house-yeast for my own homebrewing adventures. Over the years the food has greatly evolved and the menu has expanded into more delicate global flavors and influences while still keeping the crowd-pleasing burgers and fries. Weekend afternoons are awesome for their happy hour, weekday evenings are pleasant and comfortable. Worth a stop if you’re in the area.

What a disappointment. Five of the six beers ranged from terrible (the seasonal light) to the poor side of mediocre. The IPA was actually reasonable, but I don’t know how much my standards had been lowered by trying the other five first.

Food was reasonable, but there was a surprisingly long wait to get in.

Atmosphere is "bro central" and is well matched by the sorority girl staff.

This place has nothing to do with craft beer, and it’s a "must miss" for any visitor to Seattle. Hey, it’s even a must miss for any local.

Tasty and super-cheap apetizers for happy hour. The hefe and the porter were tasty, the other brews (when I was there) were unimpressive. Great place to watch a game, but finding a seat can be a problem. Ambiance bonus for the barmaids.

Great pub grub. Cute sorority girl staff. The amber’s pretty drinkable, and there are plenty of TVs, including a huge screen in the bar. A credible alternative to shopping in the mall where it’s located, if by chance you get dragged there on errands.

Unimpressed on my one visit there with my family and some friends. Slow service (for no apparent reason). Lackluster food. And a limited beer selection that seemed of a somewhat lower quality than other Ram/Big Horn’s I’ve been to.
