82 Place rating #50! Stopped in here right after heading to Fishpwas and glad I did. Variety of wine and beer and lots of liquor. Still have some BCBS and BCBW on the shelf but a little pricey at $8 per bottle. Utopias behind the counter, too. Grabbed some shelf turds like 2009 Pannepot Reserva, Mogli, Fifty Fifty Eclipse and a Perennial milk stout. Plenty more but my wife will be mad if I grabbed everything I wanted but a neat spot. Definitely worth checking out when in the area. |
80 Small, looks like it would not be very good, but it surprises with hard to find releases and lots of Mikkeller and belgians. great store, prices a touch high for the area. |
76 Dawson’s Liquor is a small, cluttered store with a great beer selection. As I carefully navigated the aisles, I found plenty of beers to clutch in my grubby little paws on this, my first visit. Some of the chilled bottles were hard to discover as there was not much order to the cooler, but the selection was pretty good. The staff was friendly and helpful, and definitely knows beer. While the store is a bit out of my way, I do plan to visit again. |
86 This place has some of the most knowledgeable staff around. Very good selection but the place could use some expansion! The place is pretty small compared to the amount of beers available here. These guys sponsor the beer club events at Lures in Crownsville, MD. They know their beers and some brewers and can order some things that might not be readily found in other locations. Evolution Lot #3 in a 1/6th keg comes to mind for me the last time I stopped in(had it on hand). |
96 Best Beer selection for a liquor store I have found in the Baltimore/Annapolis area. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff. My go-to spot for craft beer. |
90 Great local beer store. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Great selection of crafts, liquor and wine. (Also, macros...) Always hard to decide with so many great choices. |
74 Very nice selection of craft-brewed beers (and wine and liquor, which I don’t shop for). Prices are a hair lower than one expects from a store with such a variety. And variety is what makes the store. That the aisles are crowded and quite disorganized pulls down the store’s rating, as it’s hard to find items and just as hard to move around in the stacks of cases. But I never fail to come out of there without several 6-packs and magnums of in-date beer. Good store! |
90 I have been going here since I first got into craft beer. When you first walk in it doesn’t look like much. Once you walk to the back of the store to the beer section you will be more then impressed.
The greatest thing about this store is the service. My favorite days are going in and talking to one of their beer managers "Matt." One of the most knowledgeable people I know and its always a pleasure to chat with him.
They have tastings once a week and also have a beer club that is absolutely amazing!
Overall the best store I’ve ever been to. |
