This place has a few craft beers like sam adams and rogue but most of it is BMC crap. Smokey redneck bar.

I am updating my rating as very much has changed at the Gnome since its conception. It used to be a chill place to get beer and watch sports. Liquor then became legal in Sevierville and this bar slowly became a very smoky, rowdy establishment with impersonable service. Any good beer was slowly replaced with very generic selections. The occasional Rogue or Left Hand beer basically disappeared in favor of things like Dos Equis. How many crappy lagers can one place have on tap?? Most recently the Gnome underwent a facelift and became non-smoking. It has a much more inviting and cleaner atmosphere with bathrooms that are actually acceptable in which to piss. However, the beer selection is still suffering and probably isn’t even worth a stop for the beer enthusiast. The food, though standard greasy bar grub, has always been to my liking.

When you are in a formerly dry county, beggars can’t be choosers. But if you come out for Dollywood or anything else, this is the only place in the Great Smoky Mountains that sells Rogues and other fairly common micro brews. Aside from that, it is a large sports bar with plenty of space, huge tables and comfortable seating. A great place to waste away the time, but get in early, local laws have them closing at midnight.
