| fiveacestx (22), Texas | | November 22, 2011 In an area that looks like a bunch of office buildings. The best way to find it is to drive to the indoor soccer complex and look across the street. Otherwise it’s hardly noticeable. This place doesn’t come close to the selection of brews in the Dallas/Fort Worth area but still pretty good for Shreveport. Nice place but like Cuban’s in Shreveport, it’s pretty obvious that craft beer drinkers are not the target audience. | | Cavie (80), Fort Worth, Texas | | June 2, 2009 Wine specialty store in south Shreveport. I was hoping to find some beer authentic to Louisiana but they only had Abita. Granted they had a large selection of the Abita beers, that was all as far as LA breweries. A cooler of singles was at the front with several racks of room temperature singles and 6 packs across the store. They had a fairly large selection of European imports, and had several things I had never seen in Texas. The clerk admitted that he mainly knew wine but was extremely helpful. Nice place, a little small but well maintained. | monkeytail (2), , Pennsylvania does not count - explanation | | March 15, 2009 yeah, not much in the way of specialty beer in shreveport. agree with AmEricanbrew... probably the best place in town. strange brew (bar) is a close second in selection. | | AmEricanbrew (78), roam, Louisiana | | June 1, 2006 [ Updated December 7, 2009 ] Mainly a wine shop, this place also has some hard to find Belgian and German brews. Dark tint on the windows suggests the owner is serious about the condition of the beer and wine. A small cooler stocks single beers and cheeses.
Only a few craft brews in stock, mostly from New Orleans area brewers. By far the best place in town to find specialty brews. |
