This is a Banks’s/Marstons foodhouse: it’s OK I suppose but isn’t a beer geek joint at all. Cask offerings all from the Marstons stables, so you’ll see different breweries beers here, but you’ll know them all and not really need to remind yourself of their non-flavour. It is not on my usual Shrewsbury pub crawl.
Ping Cuisine (micro waved then deep fat fried) available and as long as you know that, its fine: I was leading a party of six and we all ate here as it was mid-afternoon and the other pubs had stopped doing food (bloody UK).
Nice enough place, it has a lovely courtyard and is kind of oldie worlde throughout.

Beautiful old building with decent pub within. This is basically a good pub for food, family and with a decent atmosphere. There is some choice re the real ales but was disappointed to find no Shropshire Ales on draught.
