| goodzon (18), Moscow, Russia | | May 15, 2012 One of the best places in Singapore. An excellent selection of local draft beer and bottled. | | Luu777 (12), California | | May 1, 2012 Probably the best place in Singapore, but that is not saying much. This town lacks a beer culture so you will not find much variety or excitement. However, if you are traveling here, then I suggest you give it a shot. | | BiruBubble (10), , | | October 18, 2011 A place to go to avoid major disappointment. A safe bet. | | Lubiere (349), Ottawa, Ontario | | August 19, 2011 A beautiful brewpub, situated on Clarke’s Quay, beutiful terrace overlooking the Singapore River, with corregated metal walls, large dining area. Food is expensive, beer is expensive, Singapore is expensive. But this is the best brewpub in the country. 4 X 90 ml samples for 13$, Western menu. | | Stew41 (112), Woodend, Australia | | June 28, 2011 In general the beers were dependable but lacked excitement. The venue however was excellent. Super efficient service and the food very well priced compared to other non-Asian options in the area. Wonderful location on the quay and the outside tables excellent people watching. Sampler flights of 5 for about $13. | | Immy (107), Virginia Beach, Virginia | | March 28, 2011 Looks bigger than it is due to lots of banners and signage, plus an extensive patio area. Food was solid pub grub, and the beers were rather pleasant. As with most places in Singapore, the service was excellent. Certainly worth a stop. | | Zenwolf (52), Waterloo, Ontario | | August 26, 2010 Great place with a fantastic location on Clarke Quay. Close enough to the main clubs and bars (across foot bridge) but far enough away from the noise that you can sit and enjoy round and pretty decent good with friends. Their in-house brews are not fantastic.. but better then the beers commonly available (Singha, Carlsberg, etc). Sit outside for the best experience and view | | Beershine (540), The Sunshine State, Florida | | June 22, 2010 Nice inside and out. The outdoor patio is sprawling in the late afternoon, affording nice breezes during dusk along the riverside. The inside is very large and quite beery. Successively smaller glasses of beer painted on the floor lead you to the washroom. They play beer-themed audiobooks in the washroom of all things--I really appreciated that! Has high chairs around the bar but the bar itself is not used for seating but for staff to collect the beers. There is a pool table and sports on TVs. I also appreciate their listing all the other local brewpubs on the chalkboard to create solidarity and encourage ppl to patronize them all, even though technically they are competition. They list the exact hop profiles for their hoppy beers too. Pretty nice place with a fun and broad selection of house beer, one of which (Hopback) is cask-conditioned and hand-pulled. They bottle some of the beers, too. | | Borresteijn (97), Amsterdam, Netherlands | | October 26, 2009 Visited on a friday evening during an 8hr stop at Sin Changi airport, a short walk to the right from metrostation Clarke’s Quay. Very large bar with multiple rooms, indeed very industrial like with steel and light wood interior, but the atmosphere was very good since the bar was packed with locals and expats. Large terrace on the riverside with a nice view. Tasted all 13 beers they had from samplers and had a good and very spicy pizza. Beers were (below) average and very English oriented. Prices were high for European standards, I paid S$36,- for the samples and S$22,- ex service charge and tax for the pizza, which is alltogether > €30 or US$45. Nevertheless a nice way to spend an evening in Singapore, and close to Archipelago brewpub (10min walk). | | nate2g (320), Marlborough, New Zealand | | September 25, 2009 Located on Clark Quay, it’s pleasantly situated with views of the river and surroundings. The beers range from very nice to below average, but there’s a decent range of beers to try. Food is nice with the portions generous. The staff were friendly and service was fine on my few visits. |
