When I visited: Late May 2013.
What I had: Humdinger Series Over the Pils, Rousing Root, Blind Faith, Elder Betty, and Circus Boy on tap. Also bought a tulip glass for the hotel room.
What I liked: The high-energy tour is a lot of fun as the guide mixes random facts about the company with zingy one-liners, and the brewery is unique in that it resembles a haunted house. The schwag selection is pretty impressive too.
What I disliked: The beers are wholly unexciting and leave a lot to be desired. Itís a good thing they were free with the tour because none of them stood out for me (yes, theyíre that mediocre). In hindsight the only reason we visited this place was because it was across the street from our hotel. Prior to discovering that we had no plans of hitting Magic Hat.
Would I go back? The tour is worthwhile if you happen to be in South Burlington, just donít expect to be wowed by the beers.
Overall Rating: 66

This is a tough rating. This might be the coolest brewery I have ever visited, but also the worst beer. A+ Ambiance, free samples for taking the tour, and lots of variety on tap. I just donít like many of their beers. Worth a stop if youíre in the area.

Took the brewery tour. Really cool and definitely worth checking out. Tour guide was really knowledgable and the decorations and set up of the tour and shop were really cool and wacky. I wasn't sure if it was worth checking out the brewery but glad I did. You also get 4 samplers for taking the tour.

Finally visited in May of this year and was perhaps not too surprisingly not all that conquered. The tour itself is not devoid of interest for seeing the sheer size and crazy artefacts (and is fairly quick anyway), but in the end, the beers (4 samplers with your visit) are not all that distinguishable and I ended up leaving empty-handed. Has grown into quite a touristic spot, on a very rainy Saturday, it was filled with dozens of curious people of various origins.

2013-04-29. Overall impression is just a little over the top. The self guided tour was worth the two minutes, but if you have seen a brewery before it was not that different. 8 beers on tap, you are allowed to sample up to 4 based on state law apparently. Most beer geeks will have tried the bigger brands, they had some more obscure ones available, including some ltd release and VT only beers. All the beers were decent, none particularly wowed me. The "Humdinger" series Belgo Sutra was my favorite of the ones on today. Large gift shop. Worth a stop, but its definitely a sampling area and not a bar.

Opening sign had the word "Brah" on it. The whole place had that Brah vibe. Everyone was friendly, but they didnít really seem to know much about beer. Tour was pretty basic. You wonít really learn much on it. You get a few samplers of stuff not as easily available. Overall, I enjoyed the beer down the road at Fiddlehead much more. The tour guide even said during the tour that theyíre not focused on the "beer geek" crowd. Thereís nothing wrong with that, but it highlights that this wasnít really my kind of place and probably not a great match for many users of this site. Iíd go if I was in the area, but it would be low on the priority list.

Tour was fun am informative. Unbelievable amount of shwag for purchase. The decor remindered me of a tye dyed haunted house. Friendly staff, loads of free samples. 6 beers on tap with two seasonals, the same 6 available for purchase in bottles. Glad i went!
