| zdk (79), New York, New York | | July 15, 2011 Stopped in with my girlfriend on my way up to Vermont. Bartender was very friendly. Unfortunately, a number of beers had kicked (was especially sad to miss the Milk stout) but I was still able to fill a 7 beer sampler, so no big deal. Beers were all solid to good. The blueberry lager surprised and impressed me. We’re both vegetarians, so our food options were very limited (I won’t hold that against them though, I know it’s a steakhouse). The jalapeño poppers were good, but the batter on the bloomin onion was oddly dusty tasting and made me feel a bit sick. Overall, it was a great stop. Place had a local feel (the cowboy theme is a bit hokey though), but you know you’re in a good place when the (very friendly) bartender knows all the regulars by name and usual order. Wish this was closer to home. | | fata2683 (125), Tucson, Arizona | | June 17, 2011 stopped in here with family for dinner. Food was good and the tap selections were massive. We sampled 10 of the pubs brews on one trip alone. Service was good as were the prices. | | dnstone (37), Alamogordo, New Mexico | | November 3, 2010 Who doesn’t like a a Greek-Western Themed Steakhouse-Brewery! Great atmospher, extensive pub food menu, always give you plenty to eat, excellent service., lots of beers on tap. The beer can be great when they invest in it, like the 2x IPA, and mediocre when they do things like put watermellon flavor in. Definitely worth a trip. | | Lubiere (349), Ottawa, Ontario | | March 5, 2009 The place looks like a Ponderosa, however, the beer are top notch, very solid. We had a sampler (6 beers) and managed to get a taste of the cask aged King Oak Milk Stout. Service was friendly and the brewer came to say hi. Visited on Inbièrenationale IV, May 2007. | | hophead637 (10), Lenox, Massachusetts | | January 26, 2009 Just plain good. Great food, great beer( i can get it in growlers locally). Love going there. | | boto (43), Granby, Connecticut | | December 15, 2008 I finally got up here to have a dinner and a few beers. This place will not disappoint. The decor is western style steakhouse. Their beers are quite good. I am not sure what is actually brewed here and what comes from their off site brewery, but they had a very large selection of their beers on tap. We started out with an appetizer of onion rings. Thick cut, tasty and a very large quantity. I had a filet mignon, while my wife had swordfish. Both were excellent and reasonably priced. The portions were generous without being too much. Even the kids menu was good. My daughter had chicken strips, which looked like they were made there. | | skibumphishead (11), Massachusetts | | September 2, 2008 This one is down the street from my crib so I have been a few times. The growlers are on sale every now and then across the street from me for $5. The restaurant is good but no TV’s for the sox game. I recommend the steak salad since it is the cheapest steak on the menu and you get a great piece of meat. There was a live jazz guitar player on the deck last time I was there. None of the hoppy beers were great, but the stouts and porters were good. They have a rotating list of fruit beers that are all interesting. Give it a shot if you are in the mood for steak, but head down the road to Northampton if you want better grub and great beer. | | eaglefan538 (91), Wilmington, Delaware | | January 13, 2008 A very nice brewpub in the middle of North Connecticut and Southern Massachussets. I enjoyed the food (outstanding steaks, especially the filet mignon) and selection of beer on tap. The value was solid and the service outstanding. It was a treat to get a server who actually had a clue after an earlier stop in the night. This brewpub knows how to use the hops. | | MartinT (469), Montreal, Quebec | | November 6, 2007 This Greek restaurant and steakhouse serves quality food and well-crafted beers in a classy Western ambiance. Yes, classy and Western were used in the same sentence. The homemade fries were excellent (not the generic freezer kind at nearby Northampton Brewery, for example) and the authentic Greek salad I had was indeed authentic and very flavorful. The beer menu was a tad disappointing in that it falsely advertised 14-15 beers they only had 8 in reality. None really stood out, but none was disappointing either. This place is a bit out of the way, but I wouldn’t hesitate to come back if I were in the vicinity of Springfield or Northampton. | | JAF737300 (45), Chicago, Illinois | | July 29, 2007 An out of the way place that brews great beer/ They are quite nice and inventive. The food is on the average side from a steak house (smaller) perspective. The ambience is rustic and the people are friendly. The staff is fine until they get in the weeds. The bartender we had said they were out of a stout but we were just poured one a few moments earlier. |
