kryon (5), , Sweden does not count - explanation | | May 20, 2012 Nice and pleasant place with friendly crowd. Very well prices samples of the house. Food is average to ok as well as service. | | theisti (273), Leawood, Kansas | | May 1, 2012 Visited for dinner on a Thursday. The restaurant part of the place was closed for a charity auction, though the bar was open for bar food. The auction folks spilled over into the bar, which added nicely to the ambiance of the place. Everybody was happy and having a good time. The crowd at the bar seemed to be regulars, and were very friendly. I had the Keller Pils, which was nice, and the Crab Cakes which were tasty, though expensive for what they were. I liked the vibe of this place, had a nice Country Inn feel to it. | | mcmisko (11), New York | | April 19, 2012 Great Place for local brews. They only serve their own beer, but that is enough. the food is so-so, but the beer is great. World class beer is coming out of this place. | | Jow (59), New York | | August 18, 2011 Went here for lunch yesterday. Nice looking brewpub fits well with the Hampton vibe. However, lost an ambiance point for playing easy listening, Backstreet boys didn’t pair well with beer. Got the sampler of some decent brew although selection for sale wasn’t as robust as would have liked. | | chicagodri (58), Chicago, Illinois | | July 4, 2011 Nice place. Went here for their brunch. Nice patio, good beer selection, and decent food. Good stuff for the price. I would go back. | | glennmastrange (40), hobe sound, Florida | | June 20, 2011 Service was great, but there wasn’t a big crowd on a weekday afternoon. The beer was good as always, I wish I had time to try some of their vintage stuff. The food was disappointing though. The crab cakes suck, the Buffalo chicken wrap was way over cooked and chewy, the Cuban sandwich was missing a pickle, the only really good thing was the sweet potato fries. I like to go back when they do one of the releases. | | zdk (79), New York, New York | | May 18, 2010 Didn’t go on a release day, so it was pretty empty/chill. Food is pricey and nothing to write home about (speaking as a vegetarian, though). Got to try the oatmeal stout, plus a few favorites. Service was friendly and it was warm so we were able to eat on the deck. Hopefully I’ll make it back here before too long and when there are more interesting things being released. | | j12601 (214), Poughkeepsie, New York | | February 13, 2010 Went here for the Berliner/Double Ice-bock/RIS release. After we got our beer we tried to get a table in the dining room. We were told about a 15 minute wait for a table of eight. Waited an hour and fifteen instead, and that was with frequent check-ins. After an hour I saw a large empty table and asked if I should get our party, and was told no. 15 minutes of the table sitting empty, and me asking again, we were given that table. I know they were slammed, but for a table of eight, we were not checked on once our food arrived. The food was pretty good, but I was bothered that the nachos I ordered were served as waffle fries (said Irish Nachos on the menu, so I get the ’joke’ now, but there was nothing on the menu’s description about fries). I’ll have to see about getting out there sometime for a non-release day, but decent experience overall. | | Slipstream (59), | | February 6, 2010 Glad I came to visit this place for a release party! People were lined up as early as 4 a.m. (in January!) to get their hands on one of 500 bottles of Russian Imperial Stout, 150 bottles of Berliner Weisse, and 75 bottles of double eisbock. I was able to land the first two. Very nice atmosphere and a very attractive building - traditional and tasteful, not flashy. The staff was helpful and the crowd, which included a good number of beer geeks, was very sociable. Their selection is focused on their own brews (it is a brewpub, after all) so I can’t give it high marks there. The food was good and reasonably priced, as were the drafts. Well worth a visit. | | tgncc (49), Bellmore, New York | | February 5, 2010 [ Updated February 6, 2010 ] Great place. I have to imagine that when there are no events going on here, this is a great neighborhood pub. Nice, clean place, great pub atmosphere. The reputation of Southampton’s beers precedes itself. The service is polite and prompt, the food is decent, and the value is not terrible, considering where this place is located. |
