| Dixonian (79), Dallas, Texas | | April 5, 2012 Very cool vibe in this place - wooden shelves line the walls filled with brews. They are seperated by style which is nice. The manager was knowledgable and friendly. He even pointed me in the direction of a restuarant with a good tap list. | | ryanfolty (104), Minneapolis, Minnesota | | December 26, 2011 [ Updated February 10, 2012 ] Finally made it over here earlier today and wow. I was lucky to get a parking spot out front, it was limited; however there was parking in back according to a sign. This was a great craft beer store that was done up right. Empty bottles of rare beers along the walls, decor was very pleasant, and glassware accompanied some of the beers. Only downside was prices, I noticed some that were $1 more per single than other places in town. I will come here for the harder to find items, but not regular shopping because of that. Overall, one of best stores in the Twin Cities. | | orourke (10), Minnesota | | December 21, 2011 This place is awesome - all sorts of beers here that you would hard pressed to find elsewhere in town (or many other places in the country for that matter). Grab an employee and have them help you pick out some beers you might like. Save your itemized receipt, bring it back, and let them know which ones you liked and which ones you didn’t - they’ll then help you pick out more based on what you like. | DasBierChef (5), Lucan, Minnesota does not count - explanation | | December 15, 2011 Their new location is a marvelous upgrade and really allows them to show off their selction! | NearABeer (3), COKATO, Minnesota does not count - explanation | | November 29, 2011 The most amazing selection of Micro Brews i have ever seen. | | emeinz (25), Minnesota | | October 30, 2011 Very nice store. Great ambiance. Service is very good. The staff is helpful, but not pushy. Selection is also very good. They get almost everything available. The problem is though that they get so much traffic that popular seasonals and special releases run out quickly. Prices are the weak point here. They are much higher than most place in the area. I don’t stop here often because of that. If the prices were on par with the market, I’d come here more often. | | ZMOS (14), Minnesota | | August 11, 2011 A= A cool looking store that is always clean and well stocked.
S= Helpful and inquisitive but at times a little much.
S= Products arranged by type which is interesting approach. Had to hunt & peck to find products from same brewery though.
F= N/A
V= This is where this store really loses luster. Much higher pricing than elsewhere. 6 packs = $1-4 or more higher than competition. Don’t understand this.
O= Really like the store overall but have to restrain my visits due to above mentioned value issues. | | planbee (35), North Carolina | | July 4, 2011 [ Updated September 2, 2011 ] AMBIENCE - It looks so bland on the outside, but so inviting once you step in. Nice layout and display too, it’s a bit overwhelming for a beer lover! SERVICE - Great guys, very talkative and knowledgeable. SELECTION - They don’t have room for a humongous selection, but everything they have is worth getting, which is better in my opinion. If there’s a Goose Island, Deschutes, Boulevard, or Surly item you want, they probably have it. All the fantastic seasonals and hard to find stuff too. VALUE - Eek. I did some damage here, and it didn’t take long. As an out of towner with limited time to shop, this was my only stop so I had to take advantage. But if I lived in Mpls I sure would price check other places first. OVERALL - Leave price out of it, and it’s a great beer store, bottom line, and that deserves a high rating. | | DalzAle (12), Eden Prairie, Minnesota | | June 10, 2011 I’ll admit, I’ve been a pretty big fan of this place since they opened. Although the store is small, there’s always a immense unique selection of rotating beers from the midwest and beyond. Prices might be just slightly above the average, but I’m always happy to pay an extra 50 cents for a place that truly represents the best that craft beer has to offer. Service is always top notch, beer is always fresh, my only complaint is some of their limited stuff sells out before I can get there! | | mtjoseph (10), Murderapolis, Minnesota | | April 19, 2011 The store looks really nice, but is jam packed. Not necessarily selection wise, but literally. The place is tiny and I’m not quite sure how they fit that much beer in there. However they do. They have a good selection for a store in the suburbs, but if you live (or are visiting) within the city limits, there is no real reason to make the drive out there. They are more expensive then most places, even on items like Two Hearted was a dollar more expensive then everywhere else. Its a cool store, but there’s the same selection available within Minneapolis or St. Paul. |
