New pizza place in the same building as Vin de Set on Chouteau between 18th and Jefferson. Walking distance from Lafayette Square (and Square One, 33, and Bailey’s). Really outstanding pizza- can’t say enough good things about the 4 pies we passed around our table. The wait was long but they compensated with free appetizers and incredible service once we did get seated without us even asking for anything. They went above and beyond. The tap list is solid at a dozen, with a focus on local: Urban Chestnut, Schlafly, Six Row, Augusta, and Boulevard, with the rest of them mostly filled out by stuff from out West: Sierra Nevada, Avery, Left Hand, et al. 38 bottles available when we went, so I’d imagine they’ll have close to 40 at any given time. Many of them were by locals on tap and not (Cathedral Square, Tin Mill, Schlafly), and overall also had a West Coast bent: Odell, New Belgium, Great Divide, Grand Teton, Stone, Rogue, et al. Some macros and a few foreign brews thrown in for good measure. Overall, great place for pizza and a couple pints. Another very welcome addition to the city (and the pizza joints around here sure get it when it comes to beer- Pi, The Good Pie, and now here).
