Great location, had about 10 in house beers on tap, no flights on Wild game night which was not cool, food was okay at best, service was good though for how busy it was on game day. She came by often and gave me 3 samplers to make up for the no flight deal, would have increased the service rating more if she was more knowledgeable on the beers.

Beer was surprisingly good, food was not. Basic restaurant atmosphere. Fairly busy. 4 beers on cask, around 8 beers on tap. All in-house. Waitress was friendly and somewhat knowledgeable.

Cool, old atmosphere and great service. We tried eight of their beers and were mostly disappointed. A couple of decent ones at best and the rest were worse. On the upside, it is a cool place downtown to get a beer.

Visited on a Monday afternoon for a quiet pint and some wifi to catch up on email. Located in a cool old building with a great outdoor patio on a pedestrian walkway. The interior seems a bit run down and ragged, and not terribly put together. I sat at the bar, and had a nice chat with the bartender. They had I think 4 beers on cask, which was cool. I did not get food, but what I saw leaving the kitchen looked decent. Cool place, certainly worth a stop.

Visited on 05/31/2009. Helpful, Friendly and knowledgable staff. Immediately brought out water with the sizable sampler offered. Pretzels were hot, fast and tasty. Very open bar with the brewery located behind a glass window visible behind the bar.

Fun place in the heart of St. Paul. Generally around 10 house brews available, with a few on cask. Food is decent, maybe a little pricey. Beers are solid, with usually 1 or 2 better beers in the group (usually the seasonals/specials).

Was there in the middle of the afternoon, not crowded. Service was pathetic. Slow, had too remind the waitress that i ordered a beer and she forgot. This was between lunch and dinner so we got a limited menu which was fine. We had an assorment of dishes, onion rings, sandwiches, pizza and nachos. lets just say it was mediocre to horrible. One saving grace was the beer was great and they had a sample tray.

This place seems to have improved nicely over the past 3 years. The service rules, the food is decent, and the beers seems somehow better. I really would like to see these guys continue to exist and prosper.

I enjoyed the laid back atmosphere and the nice clean look. The waitress was polite but a bit slow. The beers were not bad, especially the blackwatch stout. I did not have anything to eat but from glancing around it looked like decent food. This is a nice place to come and relax and enjoy a beer but nothing to get horribly excited about.

11/11/07 In town for cousin’s wedding, Geat service. Food Awesome!!!!! No stout :( The brown was really a porter, but it was a very good porter. Every other beer was marginal at best.
